there are so many clubs activities so in my leasure time i follow this.
the senior junior relation is awesome here .
faculty is awesome here you will love it.

Dislikes

labs are not well furnished you will get struggle.
maintainance is pretty much required here.
some how i manage to balace my academic but i can barely do that.

when i was studying class 10 i developed my interest on computer science so later i chose this course.here the faculty student ratio is moderate ,for every 45 student you have 1 teacher.here all the professor are all phd level.in every 6 months there is a sem conducted .if you will study you can pass easily.

Class Size: 56Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Internships Opportunities

some how i managed to get a internship on my third year in capgemini in sde role .last year tcs cognigant wipro tata power visited us to hire interns.you have to make a proper progects in your third year to get an internship.

Placement Experience

after all the fun you have to get a job ,here you can get job easily.seniors are so helpfull here you can get referral easily.here the highest package is 64 lacks and average is 3lakh per anum. last year 90% of the students got placed in different companies like wipro tata power tata steel etc. my plan to join civil service.

Fees and Financial Aid

like for my depertment i have to give 30000 anually .Generally fees structure depend on which department are you studying.here you can avail various kinds of scholarship like svmcm oasis etc,you can avail allumni funded scholarship also if you are are elligible.

Campus Life

if you want to make your college life memorable you can join this college with out hesitation.here you will lead your best life and can make good friends.here every year jeclat is cultural fest conducted by our seniors,also sristi the tech fest is also conducted.classrooms here are awesome.you can play different kinds of sports here like cricket football volleybell etc.different kinds of clubs activity is also here like dance club singing club etc.

Admission

first of all if you are a 12 passed candidate you are eligible to give west bengal joint entrance examination.then you have to secure a rank of below 4000 to grab a seat in jgec. you can find the aplication form from wbjee board whre you can aply for this exam.in the .some kind of issue you can find you may face in the registration process.

Unbiased Review of JGEC

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements. Unbiased Review of JGEC

I applied to a few other government engineering colleges but i ended up choosing JGEC.The main reasons: JGEC is a well established,fully government owned autonomous college,with good accreditation.It also has a long history since 1961,which made me trust its academic environment.Compared to other colleges i applied to ,JGEC felt more stable and credible.It also has a reasonable structure and good campus infrastructure,labs and oppurtunities for intership .There is also a good scope for higher studies like GATE.The marks vs rank went extremely high in WBJEE 2025.That's why i didn't get a college i applied for which is near my home. You can take admission by giving WBJEE and JELET only.As it is a government college you can only take admission if you get a good rank .There is also different cut-offs for diff catagory.The overall admission process is was very smooth and systematic....Read More

According to my West Bengal joint entrance examination rank I said for the counselling in the first round I got Kalyani Government Engineering College with IT department but that was with the reservation under EWS quota with rank 2869. As I was not able to get me EWS certificate my admission there was cancelled and then according to my preference I got Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College with electronic and communication engineering department.
