Course Curriculum Overview

In term of comprehensive it covers all the Cse Subject that's the piller of computer science.and it also covers the subjects for GRADUATE aptitude test.so syllabus is quite vast for 4 years but backdated in front of todays technology

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 105000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees paid in first semester is 16 k for it after that 13 k in each semester total 1 lac 5 k fees for 4 year b.tech IT.and fir anyone of other branch cse,me,ce,ee,ece fees is 60 k for 4 years b.tech in Jalpaiguri Government engineering College

Campus Life

Campus life extremely nice with Greenery all around green fields trees all around of 161 acres and tea gardens which adds beauty more.anuual fest is conducted over 7 days which is biggest fest in North Bengal by ay college

Admission

I chose jalpaiguri government engineering College over other colleges because it was an government engineering College in west bengal.After Jadavpur and kalyani government engineering College it is 3 rd best government engineering College in Bengal so I choose it as per my wbjeer rank

Faculty

Semester exams conducted twice a Year in Summer and winter .And internal also conducted for each subject in each semester.Every semester is done with Full Sincerely by college academics and marks is also awarded as per written by student . excessive marks not given by our college

Night Life

Nightlife also very good as the campus is oopento visit through out the night by boys and girls are restricted to enjoy night life.but for boys it s like heaven in pleasant weather of North Bengal everything is too good

The placement of the college is not that much which I expected but not also very bad the highest package of the college is around 51 lack and the average package is like 11-12 lack and the median of the college is 10 lack pretty much good and placement percent is around 88 percent of students placed every year

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

According to my West Bengal joint entrance examination rank I said for the counselling in the first round I got Kalyani Government Engineering College with IT department but that was with the reservation under EWS quota with rank 2869. As I was not able to get me EWS certificate my admission there was cancelled and then according to my preference I got Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College with electronic and communication engineering department.
