Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum are made in a way that it provide overall growth to students, but it follow old style of learning things which could be improved. Even teaching method is old fashioned which provide difficulty in learning things, hence leading to root learning.
Internships Opportunities
There is many internship opportunities for students. Some of the professors are doing phd so student can do research under them and many student also has dome internship under google, Microsoft, and other big companies.
Placement Experience
There is good placement opportunity in college.The average placement is 7 lpa , and the mass recruiters visit the campus for placement. This year the psu also visited our campus for the placement. The core branch has 90 percent placement and the non core branch has 70 percent placement
Fees and Financial Aid
Annual fee of college to be paid is 17000 rs, out of which 5000 is taken as provision fees which will be refunded to student at the end of semester. There is also scholarship scheme named svmcm scholarship, which helps student to cover college fees and their living charges. SVMCM scholarship provides 60000 rs approximately.
Campus Life
There are many different types of clubs in our college in different domain, like coding club, drama club, dancing club, music club, art club, cyber security club, sports club etc. There are fest called jeclet, sristi which provide enjoyment and competition among students.
Hostel Facilities
The food of hostel is quite good , you get food twice a day that is lunch and dinner mainly rice and dal with one sabzi. Interior of room is designed according to accommodation, and students are provided with hostel according to their home distance from college.
Admission
I previously applied for kalyani government engineering college but it's decreasing placement opportunity made me to not choose this college. To get into this college we have to write wbjee examination and after securing good rank in it, you get this college through wbjee counsellation.
Faculty
The faculty of college are very helpful and knowledgeable. Some of the professors are highly knowledgeable. The questions in exam comes from whatever has been taught in class. Some faculty's are very kind and also make them available when student ask for. But some of them really don't care about student and have some anger issue.
Night Life
The hostel timming is from 6 am to 10 pm after that time you can only come or leave the hostel with special permission. There is no restrictions to roam outside college campus in night. There is tea garden and cazz point , which good hangout place for students.
