Remarks

I took an entrance of DUJAT. The process was quite easy . At my time the eligibility of the course was Maths and English to be compulsory. Some percentage of class 12th will be considered and some of DUJAT.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course and curriculum is quite acknowledging. The faculty is helpful and interactive. Have never heard a no from any teacher of any course of any staff to decline the request if we wish something.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are always there, minimum stipend of 1500 pm and maximum 10k or plus with job assistance. Various roles are offered to get students in theine and give them a good exposure that they desire to have.

Placement Experience

From 2nd semester, students become eligible for placements. Highest packed is 10lpa and average is 4.5lpa. More than 50% get placed. More than 20 companies visited kike. Deloitte, kpmg, bain and co. , hdfc etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure should be reduced to some extent. The scholarships and financial assistance are definitely offered to the ones who need. The placement ctc shall be increased, atleast some benefit should be given to students.

Campus Life

The social life at my college is bizzare. The fests and the other society fests have been amazing always. I really have relished the time of my college. Sports and other amenities in the college are fine.. my societies and clubs are run by college and by students.

DSC is a decent college!

Placement Experience:

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. You can even look for off campus placement programs and teachers are very helpful in this. They even offer letter of recommendation for the internship opportunities upon request.

Gargi : A home to a stranger

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

Truth About Hidden IPCW (DU)

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option
