NEET State-wise Merit List: NTA has declared the NEET result of June 4, 2024, following which the admissions to MBBS/BDS and other medical courses will commence across various colleges in the country. The names of the students on the NEET merit list 2024 will be determined by their ranks and grades. There are 3 basic types of NEET Merit Lists: All India rank, Merit List for All India Quota and Merit List for 85% State Quota.
Students who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited to NEET Counselling 2024. Students will be assigned to courses and colleges during these sessions based on their ranks and marks, as stated in the NEET UG merit list. Students clearing the NEET 2024 are given All India Ranks according to how well they score on the test. These rankings are then used by state counselling bodies to create unique merit lists for each state. These lists determine the admissions procedure for medical courses.
A candidate's NEET state merit rank is determined by several variables, including eligibility as per domicile regulations. Which candidates make it to the final merit list for NEET counselling is determined by taking all of these factors into account.

- This year's qualifying marks for the NEET exam have been raised. Likewise, the OBC SC and ST categories saw an increase this year from 136–107 to 163–129.
- Before the deadline, all interested candidates must complete the application process. The preliminary NEET state-wise merit list 2024 will be created based on that.
- Candidates whose names appear on the merit list are eligible to show up for document verification sessions, which are often done offline, with the necessary paperwork.
- After that, the state authorities will release the final NTA NEET state merit lists, which will be used to contact qualified applicants for state-level counselling and admissions procedures.
- For admission to undergraduate medical programs, states such as Tamil Nadu typically produce distinct merit lists for government and private colleges.
All India Rank (AIR)
The NTA releases an overall list also termed the NEET 2024 All India Merit List of all the candidates who clear the NEET. The All India Quota, State and category of a candidate are all disregarded in this merit list.
NEET Merit List for 15% All India Quota
Out of the three different NEET merit lists released by the NTA, one of which is reserved especially for the 15% of seats available under the All India Quota. For applicants hoping to get seats under the All India Quota, it is essential to clear the NEET 2024 counselling procedure and admission rounds. The procedure is supervised by the National Testing Agency, which also mandates that applicants submit a self-declaration form. These applicants' eligibility for admission will be determined by their All India Quota rank, which will be the only factor considered during NEET 2024 Counseling.
NEET Merit List for 85% State Quota
Separate counselling rounds are held for the remaining 85% of seats subject to state quotas. Students must pass the NEET exam and receive the minimum number of points required by their state to be eligible. Candidates must apply to the state in which they are interested in admission and adhere to the guidelines provided by each state agency.
