Jharkhand BTech admission 2025 is based on the JEE Main scores. The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) overlooks the admission process. If you have a valid JEE Main score card, you can appear in the counselling process.
The 2025 counselling process, overseen by JCECEB, can be conducted between May - June 2025. Release of the provisional allotment letter and college reporting for the first round can be done in July 2025.
BTech is an undergraduate program that is 4 years long. You will develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the specialisation you choose. What is the BTech eligibility in Jharkhand?

How to fill JCECEB application form for BTech?
To fill out the JCECEB BTech application form, you can follow the steps listed below.
- You have to first register on the JCECEB website and create an account.
- After registration, you have to log in and fill out the application form.
- You have to upload your recent photograph, signature and LTI (Left Thumb Impression) in JPG or JPEG format.
- You also have to upload your JEE Main 2025 score card in a pdf format.
- You can review your application before clicking on the declaration. After checking the filled details, you can submit the form.
- After submission, an application/registration number and password will be sent to your registered email and mobile number.
- After the form submission, pay the application fee. You should download the payment slip for future reference.
- Incomplete forms, forms with incorrect information or unpaid fees are rejected.
The reservation policy stated by the Jharkhand government is followed for providing admission. You have to provide the caste certificate in the proper format to claim the reservation. Caste certificates of BC-I and BC-II candidates will only be valid if they do not belong to the creamy layer.
EWS candidates have to produce income and asset certificate to claim reservation. Disability certificate have to be provided by Divyang candidates for reservation claims.
Candidates claiming reservation for SMQ have to submit a dependency certificate for discharged personnel or Discharge Book/ Pension Book as per their preference. Primitive Tribal Group Candidates can also avail reservation.
5% of supernumerary seats are available under the TFW scheme. You have to provide an income certificate of up to INR 8 LPA issued by the competent authority to claim the benefit.

What is the Jharkhand BTech admission counselling process?
After application form submission, a state merit list is released by the JCECEB. Seats are allotted by converting the JEE Main rank to a state common merit list (CML) rank during the counselling process. You can check the general process below.
- After state merit list release, log in to the portal using your application/registration number.
- Make choice filling by selecting colleges. You should select colleges based on your preference.
- After choice filling, lock your choices to submit them.
- Unlocked choices are not considered.
- You will be allotted a seat based on your preference, JEE Main exam score and seat availability.
- After allotment, report to the allocated college for document verification and admission.
If seats remain vacant, subsequent rounds of counselling are held. If you do not get a seat in round 1 or are not satisfied with the allotment, you can also appear in the subsequent rounds. When re-allotted a new seat, you must take the admission as your earlier allotment will be automatically cancelled.
You have to pay the security deposit upon seat allotment. It is later adjusted in the admission fee. Your amount will be refunded if you vacate the seat before the last counselling round.
