Rajasthan BTech admission 2025 is conducted by the Centre for Electronic Governance (CEG) on behalf of the RTU. Admission is provided based on the JEE Main scores or class 12 percentage through REAP. More preference is given to JEE Main scores than the class 12 percentage.

REAP 2025 registration is expected to start in June - July 2025. The counselling is conducted in 8 rounds for different categories of students. The round 1 of counselling can be conducted in July 2025.

BTech is an undergraduate program in the field of engineering. In the 4-year course, you will learn about different engineering principles and specialised subjects. To be eligible for Rajasthan BTech admission, you should have passed class 12 with 45% marks in the science stream.

What are the eligibility criteria for BTech in Rajasthan?

The eligibility criteria for Rajasthan BTech admission are set by the CEG. You are advised to check the qualifications before applying for the course. You can check the eligibility below.

  • You should have passed class 12 Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry or other subjects as mentioned by the CEG.
  • You must have obtained at least 45% marks in the subjects taken together.
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories are required to have 40% marks.
  • You can also apply if you have passed DVoc (NCrF Level 4) in the same or allied sector.
  • You must have cleared the JEE Main 2025 exam.

How to get admission to BTech in Rajasthan?

Rajasthan BTech admission is conducted in a completely online format. You can proceed with the admission process if you meet the eligibility criteria. You can check the general admission steps below.

  • You must read the prospectus carefully before filling out the application form.
  • You have to first pay the application cum registration form fee to activate the application form.
  • You should fill in all the details in the application form and upload the scanned images of your photograph and signature.
  • After completing the application form, you can fill out the college choice form.
  • You should check the details entered on the application form before submitting it.
  • You will receive the confirmation message/mail on your registered number and email.
  • You must take a printout of the application form for future reference.

5% of AICTE-approved intake capacity is reserved for KM. For TFWS, the annual income of your parents should not exceed INR 8 LPA from all sources. The waiver is only limited to the tuition fee.

Admission against the 15% of AICTE-approved intake is available under the Management Quota in private colleges. It is also available for out-of-state/ Rajasthan seats in private colleges and self-finance courses in autonomous engineering colleges of the Rajasthan Government and government universities.

Seats are also provisioned for working professionals at all levels to the interested institutes as per the AICTE rules. You have to submit specific documents to participate in REAP counselling as a working professional. 15% of supernumerary seats are reserved for foreign nationals, OCI and Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries.

What are the fees for Rajasthan BTech admission 2025?

You have to pay the application cum registration fee during the first step of filling out the application form. Without paying the fee, your application form will not be active. You have to pay INR 590 (500 + 18% GST) for each mode of the counselling process. The fee is the same for all category candidates. It is non-refundable and will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Does REAP accept JEE Main?

Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) accepts JEE Main scores for BTech admission. JEE Main scores are given the most priority followed by class 12 and DVoc percentage for seat allocation. If you do not have a valid JEE Main score card, you can still apply for the Rajasthan BTech admission through REAP.

What is the reservation policy for Rajasthan BTech admission 2025?

The reservation on all types of engineering seats in Rajasthan is made as prescribed by the Government of Rajasthan. You can check the reservation percentage in the following table.

What is the Rajasthan BTech counselling process?

Only eligible candidates are considered for the selection process and admission. The Rajasthan BTech counselling takes place in 8 rounds. Rounds 1 to 7 are for centralised counselling while the last round is for institute-level admission. You can check the modes and rounds for Rajasthan BTech admission in the following table.

The vacant seats are merged into appropriate reservation categories and eventually into the general category. The merit list is based on the JEE Main rank or class 12/diploma scores. The percentile is determined by the number of applicants for class 12-based admission.

After seat allotment, you have to report to the institute for document verification and provisional admission, until you get the eligibility/ enrollment certificate. You also have to pay the fee instalment before document verification. You can also apply for internal sliding as per the schedule.

Once the instalment is paid, you do not have to pay again for subsequent reporting to the upward allotted institute. You have to exchange the fee between the participating institutes within four weeks. A certified report from the participating institute is mandatory to submit for forwarding data.

To withdraw your admission, download the provided letter and get it approved by the last reported institute. The institute must report the withdrawal online on the same day. You must upload the approved letter within 2 days to cancel the admission.

What are the required documents for the Rajasthan BTech admission 2025?

You have to produce certain documents at the time of college reporting for verification and admission. You can check the required documents listed below.

  • Printout of Provisional Seat Allotment Letter from REAP 2025 portal.
  • Printout of Application cum Registration Form (You should paste your recent photograph on the form).
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Class 10 and class 12 Mark sheets.

Rajasthan BTech Admission 2025: FAQs

Ques. I have completed ITI with the 12th equivalent exam after the 10th. Can I get admission to BTech in Rajasthan?

Ans. The ITI course after the 10th being a certificate course, will not make you eligible for the BTech admission in Rajasthan. You have to clear class 12 in the prescribed subjects by the competent authority to be eligible. You can also pursue a diploma in ITI and get a lateral admission in the second year of the BTech course.

Ques. How can I get admission to Rajasthan University for BTech?

Ans. Rajasthan University offers a 5-year BTech+MTech course. For admission, you should have passed class 12 with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognised board. You also have to clear the JEE Main entrance exam to get admission.

Ques. How can I apply for the TFW scheme for Rajasthan BTech admission?

Ans. To apply for the TFWS, you have to meet the criteria which is the annual income of your parents should not exceed INR 8 LPA from all sources. You also have to meet the basic eligibility criteria for BTech admission and produce an income certificate in the prescribed format along with other documents during the counselling process.
