Gujarat BTech admission 2025 is conducted by the ACPC (Admission Committee for Professional Courses). You have to clear the GUJCET or JEE Main exam for admission. Counselling is conducted to allot seats to eligible candidates. GUJCET is used for Gujarat category candidates while JEE Main is for All India candidates.
Registration for the 2025 session is expected to be conducted between April - May 2025. Choice filling and seat allotment results for the first round can be released in June 2025.

What are the admission criteria for BTech in Gujarat?
You should check the qualifications before applying for admission to Gujarat BTech. The ACPC sets the eligibility criteria, which you can check below.
- You must be an Indian citizen and must hold a Gujarat Domicile.
- You should have passed class 12 with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with biology, chemistry or technical vocational subject.
- You must have passed class 12 from a school in Gujarat under the GSEB, ICSE, CBSE, IB or NIOS boards.
- You must have scored 45% marks in class 12. 40% marks for SC, ST, SEBC and EWS candidates.
- You must have cleared the GUJCET examination if you are from Gujarat. Admission to candidates from other states is based on the JEE Main exam.
- You are eligible if you have passed the qualifying exam, appeared in the improvement exam with the same board and took the GUJCET.
- You are also eligible if you have passed the qualifying exam through a supplementary exam, provided vacancies arise after allotment to merit candidates from earlier rounds.
How can I get admission to BTech in Gujarat?
Gujarat BTech admission is conducted by the ACPC in a completely online format. After meeting the eligibility criteria, you can proceed with the filling of the application form. ACPC carries out the BTech admission process in the following three phases.
- Advertisement of the admission process and online registration on the official website.
- Preparation and declaration of merit list and online choice filling.
- Admission allotment and confirmation.
You can check the general steps involved in the admission process listed below.
- Register yourself on the official website of ACPC by creating a User ID.
- After registration, create your profile and provide your details.
- After filling up the form, upload your photograph and school leaving certificate.
- After profile creation, you will be offered various courses with tentative schedules.
- You have to select BTech, provide all relevant academic details and upload applicable documents.
- After submitting the application form, you will be redirected to the payment gateway for paying the registration fee.
- You should save your application number for future reference.
BTech admission is offered to government and grant-in-aid colleges, 33% of the sanctioned intake of the CoE universities/ colleges of Gujarat and 50% seats of the sanctioned intake of unaided colleges of Gujarat.
The merit list of 95% of seats in government and grant-in-aid institutes and 50% of seats in unaided institutes is based on 50% weightage of board theory percentile and 50% GUJCET percentile.
For 5% of sanctioned seat intake of government and grant-in-aid institutes, the merit list is prepared based on the All India Rank declared by NTA based on the JEE Main exam.
For admission to government seats at CoE, you should have obtained the minimum qualification stated above from Gujarat schools in line with other criteria from the recognised board duly stated in admission rules and should have appeared in the relevant entrance exam.
What are the fees for Gujarat BTech admission 2025?
The ACPC will charge you a registration fee during the application process. You have to pay INR 350 to complete the registration. The fee is the same for all category candidates and is non-refundable. You can pay the registration fee using online methods like UPI, net banking, credit card and debit card.
What documents are required for Gujarat BTech admission 2025?
During the Gujarat BTech admission application form fill-up, you have to upload certain documents asked by the ACPC. The documents should be in JPG, JPEG or pdf format. You can check the required documents listed below.

What is the Gujarat BTech counselling process?
The Gujarat ACPC counselling process is completely online. It starts after the completion of the registration process. Merit declaration, choice filling and admission confirmation are some of the major steps. You can check the counselling steps listed below.
- ACPC will release a final merit list. You have to verify your merit number and category as per the registration details.
- During choice filling, you should fill in the maximum number of available choices to ensure admission.
- The first round of counselling is mock. Based on analysis, you must modify your choices if unable to secure admission in the actual round.
- After choice filling for the actual round, you will be allotted an institute based on your merit and choices.
- If you want to confirm the admission, you must pay the token tuition fee online.
- You must download the admission slip after payment. It is to confirm your admission at the allocated institute.
After seat allotment, you have to confirm your admission by paying the token tuition fee online in the Pay Seat Acceptance Fee column. You can confirm your admission online and download the admission letter if the fee mentioned in the Pay Seat Acceptance Fee column is zero.
If you do not confirm the admission on time, your allotment will be cancelled, but you can appear in the next counselling round. You should only fill in those choices where you are interested in upgrading concerning the previous allotment. The new allotment cancels the previous one. It will be retained if no new seat is allotted.
Your old allotment will not be retained in any case if you do not confirm the newly allotted seat. You can also cancel/withdraw your allotment on the online portal. Withdrawn/cancelled admission will not be reinstated.
Candidates of the SC and ST categories with admission in self-financed institutes have to submit a Free Ship Card at the allocated institute if their fee is shown as zero on the portal. Otherwise, they have to pay the applicable fee.
