BTech Eligibility criteria depend on the Entrance exam and the Engineering College chosen by the student. JEE Main is the most popular All India Entrance Exam for BTech Admission. Students must pass class 12 with Science subjects to sit for this exam.
There are many regional Entrance exams for BTech Admission like WBJEE, MHT CET. GUJCET. These BTech entrance Exams have more complicated eligibility criteria as compared to JEE Main. These exams are focused on region-based colleges and students and thus have eligibility criteria that are centered around one state or region.
BTech Qualification for IIT is that students must clear JEE Advanced after JEE Mains with high marks. For admission abroad, college students must check the eligibility details of the particular country they student is going. Clearing Language based Tests, having high marks in class 12 and Statement of Purpose with two reference letters are some of the criteria for BTech Admission abroad.

B.Tech. Qualification
To pursue a B.Tech program, candidates need to fulfill some essential qualifications that are required. If any of the eligibility criteria is not fulfilled then the application might get rejected. Candidates must check the essential requirements from the official website of the college.
Some of the essential qualifications are listed below for your reference
- The candidates must be a minimum of 17 years of age and a maximum of 23 years.
- Candidates must have completed class 12th from a recognized institute
- Candidates must have completed class 12th in Physics, chemistry and mathematics and for biomedical and biotechnology, candidates must have chosen Physics, chemistry, biology or biotechnology and mathematics.
- Candidates must have scored a minimum of 60% or above
- Candidates must appear for entrance exams such as JEE Mains and JEE Advance

B.Tech. Lateral Entry Eligibility
Admission to B.Tech courses can be done through lateral entry as well. Lateral entry is also known as a 3-year program that is specially designed for diploma holders. The essential requirement, in this case, is that the candidates must hold a diploma degree in the same branch. Candidates are given the relaxation of 1 year out of 4-year program. Candidates can enroll in the program directly in the second year of various technical colleges.

- Candidates must have completed a 3-year diploma program in the same branch of engineering to get enrolled in B.Tech Lateral Entry courses.

- For marine Engineering, candidates must have a maximum of 25 years.
- Candidates must have cleared 10+2 examinations recognized by the Gujarat board.
- Candidates who have completed 10+2 from schools situated in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu are also eligible provided parents are of Gujarat origin.
- Candidates must have had Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology in their 10+2.

B.Tech. Qualification for COMEDK UGET
COMEDK UGET eligibility criteria differ from program to program. This exam is conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka.
