The scholarship also grants to good students, their placement training and assistance are brilliant, and our college is always ranked in the highest placement ratio.
Our college gives a huge opportunity to each and every student to get placed in the reputed company and they can a get a good idea of how the interview done
Teachers are really helpful and are passionate about their subject and motivate us to make changes in the learning experience .they provide helpful meaningful notes for students to prepare for exam.they do listen to students suggestions while teaching.

Dislikes

College canteen is not so good. the food they provide its not good
The average package is very low . last placements were not so good .
Hostels are not good there..students prefer more for pg and own flat,as hostels also don't have good mess as there foods are not good.

A OVERALL DETAILED REVIEW ABOUT UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT KOLKATA

Likes

Discipline and faculty is very nice over here..
The labs are good enough - well equipped, ventilated and good way of teaching.
The placement cell does an amazing job and hardworking

Dislikes

The distance from my place. As it is in action area 3 beside karigari bhavan it is hectic to go daily
The minimum attendance criteria is 75% otherwise they won't let you sit for exams

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students are eligible for placement. Many companies like wipro,tcs, Capgemini, flipkart,and many more come for placement. Highest of our year is around 15 lpa and avg is 3lpa. Around 75% students can get placement easily amid this crisis which is actually a good deal.

THE TRUTH ABOUT UEM

Likes

Most of The teachers are amazing friendly and they teach well
Campus is ok at best no playground or anything but alright
Food is amazing the course structure is good

Dislikes

The fuss over attendence over 14 days of leave over a semester = get debarred
Gate closes at 9 30 and wont stay oepn for even a sec no matter if there is 1 student outside or 1000
The amount of pressure put is unnecessary and syllabus is extremly huge

Placement Experience:

At the end of 3rd year people can start to get placement there are a lot of companies like tcs,wipro,cognizant 80% of the students get placed after i get my degree i hope to crack mtech or upsc as i want to go to upsc.

My experience at UEM KOLKATA

Likes

Iht free structure of the college is affordable
They give plenty of holidays and vacation after the semester end
They provide pritty good placement for the students

Dislikes

There are only 12 days of leave and if your leave exceed the 12 days then you will debard
There is no AC in the classroom and The beaches are not managed properly
The exams are pretty hard, you have to study everyday to get good marks

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as fairly comprehensive and moderately relevant to industry needs. However, there are areas that could be improved for better alignment with real-world applications. And some subject are fun to study ????

COLLEGE ONESHOT

Likes

The college infrastructure is overall very good and well maintained.
All the floors in college building have unlimited free wifi services for students and staffs. The classrooms have microphones and speakers in it and also projectors for proper helping in studying .
The faculty members are also very good , most of the professors are from renowned prestigious colleges of India and abroad like the IITs and many more.

Dislikes

Although the college campus is very good and big but it does not have any proper field or ground for sports , rather they have a basement .
The quality of provided college drinking water is not good .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college courses are designed such a way that that the curriculum followed is proper up to date and according to modern day needs. The syllabus and the curriculum is always up to date and includes every mintue datas and the important parts and topics of recent times , like there are corces like AIML nd Robotics and AI , which follows the modern day needs and provides knowledge accordingly. Not onnly studying part but also after certain period frequent exams are also taken to enhance the skills of the students . Though some subjects like foreign language and some other feels like extra subjects but it also make our skill set unique among other students.

Review of UEM Kolkata

Likes

There is projector and sound boxes in every classroom.
Teachers are friendly and supportive expect few
There is no ragging inside campus which provides good interactive surrounding.

Dislikes

There is strict schedule which may hectic for some students
There is no big playground as campus is in public place
It has uniform system which may cause problem in summers.

Placement Experience:

In this college you have to do one internship in first year. It also provide summer internship gaps. Here average package for CSE is Rs. 800000 per annum and has highest package is Rs.48 lpa according to college statistics. Many companies like Cognizant, Wipro , TCS came every year.

College is too good and enjoy every moment with friends in pressure.

Likes

Faculty members are also good teaching and humbled.
College library is big and many books are stores there. So we can get many type of books affordably.
Classroom is so good and clean . Classroom is so big so we can seating comfortably

Dislikes

College campus is too small. College is like a school.
College gives more priority to the exams .
Half of the college computers are not working.

Atleast 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Name of the companies are TCS, cognizant, wipro, itc, amazons, indigo, Infosys etc. The highest package is 72 LPA and average package is 8.83 LPA. Percentage of students getting placements is 80%. My plans is getting a job or take admission in another college to complete mtech after getting the degree.

Our college is overall good.

Likes

My college is studies focused . All teacher are so knowledge and helpful.
Our college lab construction is so good.it is so helpful.
Our college provide one computer to all students .

Dislikes

College timing is 9 am to 4 pm. So i have to engage full day in college .
College is more concerned about attendance .
The professor of our college is so strict .

Placement Experience:

Our college placement is better . our college average placement salary is 500000 to 800000. And maximum 50% students get placement in on campus . And some percentage students is also going for higher studies.

Everything you need to know about UEM

Likes

The infrastructure is better than any regional colleges.
There are IIT faculties teaching us. Faculties are good.
In IEM-UEM there is no campus life. You should consider other colleges if you want to have a college life.

Dislikes

The behaviour of most of the workers and HODs is very very upsetting.
Most of the computers in python lab wouldn't work in the beginning, but the design thinking lab has high end spec computers.
The biggest downside of studying in IEM-UEM is wearing uniform.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because CSE is not only about coding but it is for problem solving. Finding a technical solution for non-technical problems. The curriculum offers a wide domain of understanding, clearing the path for real life applications. More immersive teaching is appreciated so that students can dive deep into the trenches of knowledge. For term exams, which is easy, they complete it withing a week, 6 exams For semester exams we completed 6 exams in 16 days.

UEM Kolkata Review

Likes

The first thing I liked is that the faculty members are so friendly with their students.
The second thing I liked is that the teaching skills of the professors all the professors are IIT Graduate and they have a highly experienced.
The third thing I liked is that the playing sector our college have provided many sports types activities and it conducted regularly tournaments

Dislikes

taking regularly exams on frequent mood up
giving events very very rarely and not allowing student to do party.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Autonomous university coincide with the AICT in terms of relevance and comprehensive it is a good college as that in terms of syllabus the chapters that are given or whcih are taught in class only that chapters will come in the exams.

It's All About College

Likes

I first thing that I like the most about my college is the atmosphere and the campus. Our college has a big campus.
The another thing I like the library of our college. They have a good collection of books. Apart from this , the auditorium are good enough.
And They provide good food to us. The college cafeteria and canteen is good , we get all type of foods there. The washrooms are clean and the water supply is good

Dislikes

I don't like some specific subject faculty members . They need to be improved. Sometimes we don't understand what they're trying to teach and we miss some topics
In summer, it is very tough for us to do class in such a hot weather. We don't have AC in our classrooms. We will be grateful if they make all the classrooms air conditioned.
There is a noticeable difference between the faculty suggestion for semester and the question. They take too much exams which is not necessary as per my perspective. Because we don't get enough time to study properly for examinations

Placement Experience:

From End semester examination or in the 4th year they become eligible for campus placement. Companies like - TCS , WIPRO , INFOSYS, ACCENTURE , IBM , CAPGEMINI, COGNIZANT etc companies visit every year. Highest package offered was 72 LPA and average package is 8 LPA.

Why am I getting so negative reviews about UEM Kolkata?

UEM Kolkata has been the highlight of negative views lately and here are the reasons:

It is fairly new and hasn’t reached any milestone yet which makes it unreliable according to the standards set in society. People don’t trust newly established private universities.
The entrance exam of UEM Kolkata is very easy and people pass it without any problem.
UEM Kolkata is new and therefore has no accomplishments and therefore uses the records of UEM Jaipur which makes parents skeptical.
The Institute has a very strict environment and therefore comes in the way of students who want to enjoy their college life. These students somehow convince their parents that the Institute is not good for them.
UEM Kolkata had issues with UGC(University Grants Commission) and is not recognized by the government and therefore it creates doubts about the degree among students.

These are some of the reasons why some students will be skeptical about joining UEM Kolkata. Talk to the students presently studying there as they can only provide you with the exact information. Try visiting the institute beforehand and decide for yourself.
