Pgdav's campus insight

Likes

The availability of books and other study materials were good
Teachers of college were all were perfect for their subjects
Placement cell of college was very efficient

Dislikes

The infrastructural hygiene was not good at the college
College was very far from my home as it take 2 hrs travel
Sports ground is not available for all students of campus

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell in the pgdav which is full of efficient students and teachers. Only final year students are eligible for the campus placements although 1st and 2nd year can apply for internships. The top companies pitched by college for placement were EY, WIPRO, BDO etc.

Likes

I like the teachers and students bonding
The societies of the college and there events
Fests of the college and the Oppertunity

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bcom ( hons) ill give it 7 out of 10..., things i dont like is sec vec and ge subjects are added which is completely worthless in this time period students are more focused om there carier than other things introducing these subjects is total waste of time for students and teachers as students than could have more opportunities to find what they wanna choose and do im the future.., which will help the atudents to grow in the particular thing the are interested and can help grow india faster

A Honest review about my college.

Likes

Canteen of our college is good that there is 2 canteens so we got options for food and refreshment.
College ground is big so you can sit there with ur grup
There is greenery in the campus which is good

Dislikes

The faculty do not conduct any events in the campus
The overall college campus is small in size.
There is no small classrooms in the college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The principal of our college is very stingy. She never organised fest in our college. As about the faculty they r average. Not that highly educated. Some of them got attitude but still most of them are good in nature

PGDAV College Review

Likes

Faculties are really knowledgeable and good.
The cricket ground is humongous and cricket team is good.
The canteen is very good with economical food and great flavour.

Dislikes

The classrooms are a bit tacky and feels old.
The infrastructure is typical of government college.
Certain courses are a bit over demanding.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in commerce and thats why i planned to do bcom. All faculties are PHD in their respective fields and are helpful and knowledgeable in their subject. Exams are held frequently with continuous assesment of assignments internals and quizzes.

Life at PGDAV College

Likes

College Sports Ground.Various Sports like cricket football and volleyball.
Library-Library has books of all genres and also Study Materials.
Canteen-Canteen is a fun place to hang and enjoy the delicious and hygienic food.

Dislikes

Frequent Document Submission-We are asked to submit documents very frequently.
Early Morning classes- Some classes are scheduled very early in the morning which makes students living far away for college travel very early.
Classrooms-Classrooms can be improved a bit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose my course(BCom)as I want to pursue an MBA after my graduation hoping it would help me in my higher studies. The faculty members of my college are specialists in their own subject of teaching and provide us with deep knowledge and understanding of a particular subject. Exams were scheduled for both semesters and you need to study timely and have in-depth knowledge to score well in your exams.

Likes

I like my college canteen because it is very big and clean
Campus life of my college everyday we enjoy the college life
Teachers are very good in teaching and teachers are very supportive

Dislikes

Structure of the college is very old and small
Classes canceled by teachers without information
Timing of the classes is not very comfortable

I choose this because I want to learn about human resource management, income tax, e-commerce etc. girls and boys ratio in my college is 1:2 there are good teachers with great communication skills the term exams are conducted after every 6 months

I like overall structure of my college there is very good campus
There is very neat and clean and affordable canteen
Good teachers with effective teaching skills

Dislikes

Classes canceled by teachers without information
Because of events and society work students dont focus on study
Timing of classes is not very comfortable

I chose bcom hons because I am interested in things like accounting, management,e commerce etc. The student ratio in collage i think boys is double of girls in counting Teacher and their teaching skills are great Du conduct exams after the period of 6 months in every year

Basics of pgdav

Likes

Major thing I liked about the college was the Placementcell
The canteen is huge and spacious and has almost everything to offer
The faculty is amazing and very learned.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in their final year. Many companies visited including Delloite, pwc, Bajaj Capital, hcl, etc. 160 offers till now. The highest package is INR 36.5 LPA. Average package 5.5 LPA. Profiles offered more than 40. The percentage of students getting placed is 30%.

Likes

The placement cell of the college is very active.
Faculty provided by the college is very professional
The societies are very active and gives you a lot of exposure.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is very old need to be improved
The cultural fest in our college is not inviting any singers from past few years
The college is becoming very commercial they have given land to bank and also recently they have given the ground on lease to a sports academy

Likes

I have liked the way that faculty members teach
All the books are available in our library
Most important fest of our college that were amazing

Dislikes

Washroom facility of our college is very poor

I choose my course because I have to do a Master's after B.Com. Our college faculty is good. Most of the teachers at our college have done their masters in their subjects. It was not difficult to pass anything.
