Likes

Various big companies offering a good package comes to college every year and a good number of student get placements every year.
A good faculty having a great mentor skills and expertise in different subjects, teachers are helpful and coordinator.
There are not as many fests as in other colleges but we do have a good number of clubs and societies that makes college life interesting and exciting.

Dislikes

The annual fest is very nice and happening but the regular college life is close to hell if you are an average student.
The fines are more in this college and students faces a lot of problems
The professors are unfriendly and sometimes very rude and not understanding. also i find them pretentious.

Through my Eyes

Likes

The rooms have ACs and therefore classes are not hectic duriong summers.
The library is amazing with all course related books available and the reading rooms for a peaceful space.

Dislikes

The day batch does not have consecutive classes and so multiple gaps in between stretch the day. It overall becomes very exhausting.
The canteens have both veg and non veg served. So as a pure vegetarian I can't have anything other than packaged food.
Excessive examinations conducted very frequently.

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

our college campus is very big,neat ,clean,and beautiful
there are many co curriculum activities for the students
every year we are provided with a mentor who helps us through the year for having any problem in the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam is conducted in a nice way with a plenty of time.they teach us with ppts which are very useful for us.Beside teaching they provide us with extra knowledge which will help us in future.The exams are quite rough.

pretty good infrastructure and teaching faculty along with smart classroom, wifi, involvement in various kind of seminars and cultural programmes

Dislikes

pretty much great college, till now i have nothing to dislike about it and continue to take part in various events taking place in college

Course Curriculum Overview:

Having a keen interest in biology, and more towards molecular biology with the increasing importance of the usage and study of the microbial world, drove me towards choosing this course. This course would help in further research work and may establish my own paper or thesis or patent. The course is pretty and the teaching methods are practical-based. The exams are pretty decent and they do provide ample time to prepare ourselves.

THE SHADES OF SXC

Likes

The campus life was amazing. Really enjoyed my days at SXC.
There were so many events always happening in the campus that used to keep us engaged throughout the year.

Dislikes

The students were not allowed to avail the elevator facility.

Placement Experience:

The course in which I was enrolled had no placement options after Bachelors. So, after completing this Bachelor's course most of us enrolled in a Master's course while some went to pursue an MBA. However, there is a placement cell in our college. Students from various departments who are interested in getting jobs after completion of their degree can register there and explore the options available.

Placement Experience:

After Bachelors, students generally aim for higher studies like Masters. Also, they apply for internships, and in 90% of cases, they get selected for internships. I want to pursue Masters after completing my bachelor's.

St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata is a good college. It has good discipline and an excellent faculty. The laboratories are updated and well-maintained.
