Likes

The teacher's are really nice and friendly,they are very helpful,they also provide study materials, and even in class the are very helpful, the lectures are very fun, we also have activities so we dont get bored.
The placement cell has very good connection with such a great companies like kpmg, icici, reliance, hdfc and many more companies.
The quality of infrastructure that we have in our college is outstanding and the classes and the other things are arranged neat and clean

Dislikes

The college canteen is very bad and food is not good
It use it to hard to complete it and use to get very stressful during exams times because the pressure use to be alot to complete the curriculum.
I don't say i disliked but some faculties are rude sometimes which is seen everywhere and its normal i guess.

Mithibai in few words

Likes

Infrastructure of the college is the best, they have 20 lifts and ac classrooms with projectors and multiple auditoriums as well
The co curricular activities are also really well shaped and inculcated in our curriculum like sports, yoga, other languages etc
The events like Kshitij and Finanza makes the college more interesting a d teaches us skills like event management and marketing

Dislikes

There is no campus and no ground for sports
The college attendance is very rigid of 75%
The teachers sometimes are very strict and old school wile teaching

Placement Experience:

From the last year students become eligible of the course placements are the companies that visit our deloit KPMG jp Morgan EY etc they also have some startups coming up and you should leave the highest package is 19 lakh and average is around 3 to 5 lakhs the percentage of students getting placements is very low but they Doo have good placement if the student has the capability

Good Morning Mithibai

Likes

The teachers are very friendly, teaching methods are digitalised. Different faculty for different subject
Social Life the best in this college in entire Mumbai. The Fests are almost every month. The intercollegiate competitions are taken very seriously and students are motivated to participate in it.

Dislikes

The infrastructure as in a 9 floor building there are almost 11-12 colleges offerring different specialisation. So not much facilities other than library and gymkhana
Some faculties are still not adopting modern methods of teaching. Power game is played sometimes with students

Placement Experience:

The highest placement was 14 Lpa for Bcom course and average package was 6 Lpa. Reputed companies like HDFC, JP Morgan, TresVista, Morgan Stanley, PhillipCapital etc were visiting the campus. 100% placement.

Mithibai college overall experience

Likes

The college is quite good with facility all over the campus having air conditioned classrooms with projector , a very big library
The course is very relevant making us industry ready
The college gives you amazing overall exposure as it has various cultural committee and clubs

Dislikes

The 75% mandatory attendance criteria is something I dislike at time as you may lose your year if you fail to do so
Sometimes the teachers become too strict and you feel that it is a school

The 5th semester the students become eligible for the campus placement.mithibsi college has a strong placement committee invitating big recruiing6 companies like Deloitte kpmg morgan stanley reliance etc.the highest packages offered is 13 lakhs and average is 5 lakhs rs I plan to take the campus placement from college and gain the job experience in corporate world

I am in first year of college, as far as i know, there are many self development programs happening in the college, they also provide internships from the first year itself, and the placements are very good providing an average package of 4-5 Lakhs

Knowing Mithibai

Likes

The staff is good etter than other colleges
The portion is different as it is autonomous
The exposure is good because of good committees

Dislikes

There is attendance issue and no concession
The teachers are not able to handle the class of 120
The after services related to documents are slow

Generally students do some other professional courses with bcom such as ca or cma or cfa, etc. and hence the relevance of bcom for students with other professional courses is negligible but the course is good and related to accounting and economics of modern India and technology

Likes

Teaching Staff was too good and were aware with the syllabus
The use of smart board and other modern technology for teaching
Classes being air conditioned and adequate lighting and ventilation

Dislikes

Too many colleges inside a single building like nmims, upg etc
Attendance is very strict and have to maintain 75% attendance
The canteen being non air conditioned making it unbearable to sit there

This curiculum really pepraores you for outside world because the syllabus that the college has is closely related to what you'll be doing in the outside world and actually gives you a hands on experience of outside world and what to expect and what not to expect. Also the college's placement department is very exceptional and organised with top companies coming to college and recruiting students for internships and full time.

The course is very well designed with new subjects every semester according to the new education policy (NEP) which allows the student to gain new skills and far more knowledge than any other course would.

Timings of college like they are perfect
The fest system is the college is also very good
No restrictions on dress code it’s crazy

Too much crowded college with so many students
No campus life as it it just a building with 9 floors

Truth about Mithibai College, Mumbai

Likes

The classrooms have air conditioning and comfort seating
The library has good amount of resources
The canteens are hygienic and affordable

Dislikes

There is no campus life and it is just a corporate building
There are a lot of lectures throughout the week.
They burden you with the amount of assignments and tests

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Bcom program course is meant for people who are pursuing any further professional courses like CA CS etc. as the course material for eg of accounts is found on ca inter study material online. Otherwise a Bcom is useless.

Navigating Life at Mithibai: A Student's Perspective

Likes

People are good and decent while talking, they don't act rude and are usually not selfish.
The ratio of girls to boys is also almost equal according to me.
It also has a good placement cell where students get good packages.

Dislikes

Mithibai doesn't support outdoor sports as much as other colleges do.
Mithibai has a very small campus leading to congestion.
In the peak time, it takes people time waiting for lift due to overcrowding.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum prepares you for the corporate world wholly and also incurs discipline in students. The teaching methods are new and they make use of smart board and everything making it much easy to understand.
