Mithibai College BMS Admission Guidelines

Admissions to the BMS program at Mithibai College is based on merit on the applicant’s qualifying exam. The admission is provisional till it is subjected to pending approval from the University of Mumbai. Admission is only given to applicants who fulfill the prescribed admission conditions. Applicants can apply from the first year to the second year and second year to the third year.

• The steps to apply for the BMS course are as mentioned below:
• Visit the admission portal of the University of Mumbai and register themselves and log in.
• Applicants must then fill in their personal and academic details. They must add copies of their photographs and signature.Applicants can then find the college by typing in ‘Mithibai College’ in the search column.
• After selecting the college, applicants must select the BMS course and select the course electives for semester one (Selected applicants will have to return and reapply for course electives of next term).
• They must select 2-course courses and 3 electives and 2 ability enhancement courses.
• After the selections, applicants have to click the proceed button and apply it to the course.
• If the candidates are selected by the university, they will be asked to email a few documents and pay the admission fee before a due date
• If not submitted and paid by the due date, the admission will be canceled.
• BMS applicants must email their documents to the concerned email id.

Returning applicants:

• Applicants must enter their enrolment number and log in to the portal.
• Returning applicants can just click on apply now and apply to the remaining course.
• Applicants must select the electives and Ability enhancement compulsory courses like they did for their previous term.
• Third-year students of BMS course will have to choose from 2 mains Marketing or Finance at their final year.
• After all the selections have been made the students can click proceed and apply.
• Students must then wait for the university to approve their admission.

• Applicants can only apply up to 7 courses of their choice.
• Admissions to the college is done online. 
• During the admission period, candidates will be asked to submit an enrolment form without which the students will not be given admission. 
• Students enrolled for the 1st, 3rd or 5th semester will be enrolled for the entire year unless they give up their admission in written form.

• The BMS program at Mithibai College has three areas of specialization:

• The entire course is divided into 6 semesters and lasts 3 years. 
• The specializations must be selected so the students will be given electives to choose from their specialization.
•  The selected applicants must also select 3 electives and 2 ability enhancement courses.
• Students are assessed in two criteria to their internal assessment with 40% and semester-end examinations with 60%.
• If students do not pass the semester-end examinations or could not attend the exam they will be given a chance to retake the exam.
