We will be introduced to all scholarship opportunities so we don't miss them.
I liked the way lecturers utilize class hours to help students with their studies
College has a good environment and with full of greenery and serene beauty.

Dislikes

There are not much things to dislike about the college but the communication gap between north indian students and south indian students can be observed
The food there is somewhat bad and needs to be improved
Campus is a bit outside from city not so far but 30 minutes away.

IIITDM Kancheepuram : The average review

Likes

Hostels : one of the best hostels , even better than iits , but it can be a little bit congested.
course : courses are fine and i have no complaints. All the inportant ones are covered.
Faculty: most of the faculty are quite knowledgable and are effective in sharing their knowledge in right methods . Although , a few are exceptions.

Dislikes

mess food: Mess food is almost inedible . You can stomach to eat there 3 times a day. Most of bugs found in the food also.
placements: very poor placements with even unknown colleges having way better placemens. 65.5% is very poor.
coding and club culture: there is a total lack of coding culture and also most of the clubs are inactive.

Placement Experience:

Placements have been occuring , but barring the 2022 year , none of the others have produced satisfactor results. last year , the placement is just 65.5% with highest of something around 30lpa. I plan to do masters. average package is 8.8lpa , with cse 's 13lpa and mech not evening crossing 6.5lpa.

College Experience

Likes

College has a good environment and with full of greenery and serene beauty.
Faculty are very patient in understanding students from various backgrounds and various mentalities.
Cafeteria has very good food and also variety of dishes are many.

Dislikes

Sometimes the restrictions regarding college entry time are not that student friendly.
Late night canteens are not available which is a problem.
Electronics with high voltage are not allowed in college due to some specific rules.

Placement Experience:

Placements of colleger are good.We have a decent percentage of 70 percent students getting jobs in placement.Many more students also go into research field which makes our college NIRF innovation rank 8th. I am planning to do job or thinking of going towards research after my tech.

My freshman year.

Likes

We have great facilities for sports such as basketball,football,cricket, badminton,table tennis ,tennis , volleyball and also athletics
We have great mess food compared to other government colleges.
Faculty are very interactive and give great motivation.

Dislikes

Restrictions are little strict we can't go out of college after 10.30PM.
Funds for cultural clubs is not that good.
Ratio of boys and girls is not that good so it won't seem like an co Ed that much .

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good with avg placement of 11LPA and CSE average package 13.2LPA.Usualy maintaing 8cgpa to sit for interviews in college placements. Around 80 percent get places here. I have plans for getting 20LPA.

The campus have an natural aura and is peaceful.
The sports are considered as a special department.

Dislikes

Schedule is too hectic and congested. It can be improved.
The syllabus should be somewhat low. The lab sessions can be little friendly.

Placement Experience:

The highest package in our college this year is 45 lpa with an average package of 20 lpa. The total percentage of students that got placed is 72 which is decent in the recent times. The main companies are Google, Facebook and Bosch.

Life at IIITDM Kancheepuram

The insitute is known for its placement, which are reportedly better than many IITs and NITs. The college assures a 100% placement record. The institute offers courses with highly qualified teaching faculty.
The institute was established to improve the competitiveness of Indian products in the global market by pursuing design and manufacturng- oriented engineering education
The campus life at IIITDM Kancheepuram is vibrant with events and activities. For instance, they organize workshops on research methedology and AI and ROS for Robotics.

Dislikes

Sometimes the food in Mess is poor and some of the serving people won't give extra food.
Automobiles are not allowed for Btech and Mtech students
85% attendance is mandatory to appear for exams.

From 4th year the students are eligible for campus placements. Companies that visited our college are: Virtusa, Zoho, Adobe, Trimble, Quantiphi, MathWorks, SKuad, Microchip, Congruent, AutomationEdge, Augmentor, Synati, L&T Infotech, Capgemini, Saint-Gobain, Soveyo, Ally, Navis, Amazon, CloudSEK, Samsung, Galvanize, AMD, PayPal, Michelin, For, RudderStack, QUINN, etc. Highest LPA: 54.3 LPA, from college placement, but people also applied to jobs externally and got higher packages.

Abour iiitdm kancheepuram but located at chennai so its iiit chennai

Likes

I liked the infrastructure of the college
Sports(cricket) equipments and gym accesories
A seperate vollyball court and indoor table tennis

Dislikes

Water problem in hostel there will be no 2qter supply from 1 to 5
As college is situated far away from city , you may see a lot of animals or insects
Token for food . Regural changing of food menu with oit asking or keeping a poll

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have an interest in mechanical engineering, nearly 60 students one main faculty and one assistant faculty. All faculties had done ph.d in top universities. One semester includes 3 months. Either 2 quizzes or one mid-semester and one end-semester.it is easy to pass.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. Student goes through a compulsory internship in the 6th semester. Many companies visited our college in the year 2021-2022 like Google, Accenture, Amazon, Mahindra, Aditya Birla etc. The highest package in college was 30 lpa. The average package is 8 lpa across all branches. 90% of students were placed in the year 2021-22.

placements are available in the third year for the b tech and 4 th year for the dual degree. there are many companies visited. The average was 12LPA and the highest was 42LPA. Almost 80 percent of students got placed.

the thing I like is here is seniors are very helpful and friends will help a lot

Dislikes

the area of the campus is very small but the construction has been started

Placement Experience:

from sixth semester internships will start. many companies visit our college many offers very created. this year's highest package is 42 lacs. this time average was not given and as the placement drive is still going on we can't say about it. I do not have any plans as of now.

Likes

The architecture of college and campus life and the freedom
Hostel facility for boys the hostels are pretty good
Any time you can leave out without permission of parents and explore the town

Dislikes

The first class starts at 8am which is not very comfortable
Mess food sometimes tastes very worst which are not even edible
No big fests are there in this college only small fests no stage events

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester afterward at the end of the 3rd year and the start of 4th year, students are eligible for campus placement. No.of companies visited and all the information is provided on the institute website. 2023 highest package was 55lpa and average was 13lpa for cse 11for ece. 97% placements. After btech mtech and PhD courses are also provided here.
