The hostel facilities at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design, and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram (IIITDM Kancheepuram) consist of five buildings, with three being newly constructed 14-story structures named Jasmine, Ashwatha, and Ashoka. Rooms are spacious, featuring individual beds, tables, chairs, cupboards, and attached balconies. First-year students share rooms, while single rooms are available for third-year and PG students. LAN connection and high-speed internet are provided in every room. The mess serves a variety of North and South Indian dishes, with special menus and non-vegetarian options twice a week.

A cafeteria and night canteen are also available. The hostel registration process is integrated with academic registration, and staying in the hostel is mandatory for students. The hostel fee is approximately 60,000 INR per year, inclusive of mess charges. Facilities include uninterrupted water and electricity, shared washing machines, and 24/7 medical support.

Most of food made is south indian and north indians not have much options to choose

Hostel Facilities:

Hostel mess have seperate 4 story buliding with proper south indian cooks. Most of food is south indian but roti is provided every day. Hostel rooms are cleaned by students themselves. Each floor have 10 bathroom and 10 toilets. Hostel is compusory for every student.

Hostel facility is pretty good compared to others colleges In one room ,2 students if you are btech while single rooms for M.tech and PHD scholars. Bathrooms are well maintained Meal quality is sometimes good and sometimes very bad but adjustable for most of them Registration for hostel and affordability is done along with admission procedures I don't know any locality if we want to rent a room or PG because mostly everyone stays in hostel only as it is a residential college

Mess food has only veg we have to pay extra on meal basis for egg and chicken

Hostel facilty is good.as the hostel is a new building it overall good. Facilities include erhernet connection two ports, table cot chair balcony. Meal qauality depends on days iverall its is average. Also its just veg Menu Idli ,vada ,dosa pongal., aloo porota, poori , rava dosa , mysore bonda, upma tea coffee sambhar chutney cut fruits curry additionally toaster bread jam and butter Registration is with accademics Cosr 33,500

The hostel is very nice for the first year the ros are very big and then in 2nd years rooms are a bit small then you get a very big room in 3rd and 4 th year , which are very great , the washroom are very neat and cleaned every day , the only problem is you won't get water from 11 to 4

Every room has an occupancy of 2 unless you are a final year student who gets a single occupancy room. Every student gets a bed, table, chair, and a cupbord with a door. Student has to buy a mattress for himself. Every room has a fan and a balcony for the student to dry clothes and enjoy the view. The hostels here are massive as the buildings have 14 floors each and 3 such building are present. During power outages the lift will stop working and hence the students from higher floors will have to take the stairs which is a serious issue here. The mess here offers good food to be honest , the manu varies weekly. The food here includes paneer biriyani, chicken tikka and a lot more. Special dinner will be provided once in a fortnite and it is pretty good.

hostel facilities:they have also provided good accomdation for students

mess:they will not provide the good quality,spicy and tasty food

our hostel facilities is really very good.this is what i like more in this college after sports in ouir college.we will have sharing rooms(2 members) till 3rd year and singles room in 4th year. we will have RO+OU water to drink and hot water to bath and drink.tables,chairs and beds are alloted for each single person seperatly.

REVIEW ON IIITDM KANCHEEPURAM

For girls a 14 floor hostel with 280 rooms with 2 person per room is accommodated. For boys 2 14 floor hostels with each 300 rooms with 2 person per room is accomodated Once admission process done, hostel will be accomodated by the management. Mess food will be good which includes all varieties of north indian and south indian menu.

sweet and bitter of IIITDM kancheepuram

hostel rooms are too good but not enough spacies

from 11pm to 4pm u wont get water in aswatha and ashoka hostels (boys)

we have total 3 hostels aswatha and ashoka and jasmine annexure for boys and jasmine for girls in aswatha and ashoka we wont get water from 12 to 4 pm everyday even in weekand for jasmine annxeure and jasmine have 24x7.but for aswatha and ashoka only has night canteen from 8pm to 2 am campus gate will be closed at 10pm and hostel gates should be closed at 12am for your parents stay college provides guest rooms for very less amounts

Overview of IIITDM Kancheepuram

There arent that much bad things but mess this year sucks because non-veg is made pay option

There are 3 hostels here.One is Jasmine(Girls) Second one is Ashwatha and third is Ashoka. In every room a table,a chair,a bed and a cupboard is provided.Wi-Fi is also given through ethernet and food here is sometimes great and sometimes bad Hostel registeration is done by seniors.

IIIT Kancheepuram- Best in terms of Academics!!!

Mess food is little bit below the mark. Hygiene is not maintained properly.
Washing Machine facility is bad. Only 5 washing machine in each hostel of 14 floors.

Double sharing rooms are provided for first and second year. From third year,single room would be given.Mess facility is handed to private caterers.Mess Affairs just look at the quality of the food provided. During the admission,hostel process is done.Its mandatory for everyone to join the hostel.Fees is affordable...only 60K for complete 1 year INCLUDING mess.
