Likes

Hostels : one of the best hostels , even better than iits , but it can be a little bit congested.
course : courses are fine and i have no complaints. All the inportant ones are covered.
Faculty: most of the faculty are quite knowledgable and are effective in sharing their knowledge in right methods . Although , a few are exceptions.

Dislikes

mess food: Mess food is almost inedible . You can stomach to eat there 3 times a day. Most of bugs found in the food also.
placements: very poor placements with even unknown colleges having way better placemens. 65.5% is very poor.
coding and club culture: there is a total lack of coding culture and also most of the clubs are inactive.

Course Curriculum Overview

All the courses and curriculum and well thought out and mostly similar to most of the colleges . But there are lack of electives and lack of courses encourging latest technology. Most of them are generic courses and about the core cse. Lot of professors teach well.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 212000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Some professors working on projects offer internship , but it is quite rare. I am not aware of the companies coming , but there are certainly core companies coming for all the branches.Stipend and other data is not revealed to us.

Placement Experience

Placements have been occuring , but barring the 2022 year , none of the others have produced satisfactor results. last year , the placement is just 65.5% with highest of something around 30lpa. I plan to do masters. average package is 8.8lpa , with cse 's 13lpa and mech not evening crossing 6.5lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

As i am from general candidate , the fees is 1lakh 6 thousand rupees (total) per sem. There are a lot of scholarship opportunities for students from ews , obc , sc/st or girls. For sc/sts , the fees is just the hostel+mess fee of 48k per sem.

Campus Life

annual tech fest is vashisht and annual cultural fest is samgatha. The standards of the fests are quite low considering this is an central government institution. it is usually held in feb and march respectuvely. Library is fully books about the subject only. There are a fair amount of books , but also a lot of them are not recommended by the curriculum. classrooms are of poor state only. No ac is there in the classrooms. there are sufficient provisions for sports and extra curricular activities. Clubs exist , but most of them are inactive

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good . But we get single person room for two people , so its congested . But restrooms are clean . No one uses the tv rooms or the reading rooms. Laundry room is with 6-7 washing machine out of which 3-4 work.

Hostel Fee: INR 48000 per year

Admission

We must pass JEE-MAINs with a good percentile 97 for ece and 98.3 for cse. JEE MAINs 's application form , fees and dates will be available in their website itself. In my year , there were 2 mains exams and the year before there were 4. now , i believe 2 mains are being conducted. admission process was tedious with lot of documents (over 20) being checked and original being insisted on several fronts. It took more than 10 hours to complete the admission process in the college.

Exploring SNSCT in my POV

Placement Experience:

For campus placements students of the 4th year or 7th semester are the eligible ones. Multiple companies like zoho,apple,TCS,CTS, accenture etc have come and multiple small companies too. But the intake for the big and reknown MNCs were low from abt 2-3 candidates only.the placement here is 100% but the companies may vary.My future goal is to go for a government official stream after I finish my masters abroad.

From 3rd year itself a student become eligible for campus placements and some of seniors got ino flipkart like companies. So the college is good at placement. In any colleges, due to college the student can't only be placed, their skills, talents, communication is more important to get placed so based their knowledge the students get placed. only thing college need to do is getting good companies with package and our college also provide it.

College with good environment, teaching and placements

Placement Experience:

On doing 6th semester companys are coming for placements. But most of the companys come in the 7th semester. There is a lot of companies come here like Embedur, Honeywell,Caterpillar,Zoho,Tcs, Accenture,Hcl,Ltimindtree,Cts,etc.. Around 75-85 percentage of students got offer. The Highest package is 20lpa amd lowest is 3.36lpa. I have to go to IT company for work.

I applied to NIT CALICUT NIT SURATKAL, NIT TRICHY. For my trial round i got nit suratkal for EEE. But i shifted it to down and kept iiitdmk up..I chose this as it was the only college with Smart Manufacturing. Course and i was intrested in the way the curriculum was set including Cs,ece,eee Nd mechanical.As my jee score was not great to enter cse courses in nit calicut i got rejected there.
