- college infrastructure is another level and sports facilities are also awsome
- hostel rooms are too good but not enough spacies
- ragging is strictly prohibited in the college campus, also seniors are too friendly and very supportive
Dislikes
- from 11pm to 4pm u wont get water in aswatha and ashoka hostels (boys)
- mess food are worse not hyginic and taste are very bad, there are only 2 catering service both are fun
- attendence is 85%must with medicals u may get till 75% below that u will get W grade where u should repeat the course nxt sem
Course Curriculum Overview
as a mechanical department student, i suggest this college course far better than other colleges because for mechanical there are many clubs than other colleges, also here u can do u your last 2yrs of btech prgam in iit madras if u have pretty good cgpa.exmas are moderate level
Internships Opportunities
internships can be enrolled from 2nd yrs onwards we can do interships from here itself or at iit madras under any professors last year many students get around 1lakh per month internships from ec and cs
Placement Experience
as u know iiits are are good in placements, this year 2024 around 3 to 4 students got around 30lpa from cs and ec, to get into placemnet cell u need minimun 7.5cgpa in 3rd year. companies like amd and math work require from our college
Fees and Financial Aid
in IIITDM Kancheepuram, fees are paid on each semesters for each sem we should pay around 1.3lakhs and should be paid before the semester starts for sc and st theye have resevation discounts for hostel and mess fees are 30,000 which doesnt include non veg, for non veg u should pay before the food and eat on each day
Campus Life
as long as iiits are are only offering few course based on Information technology field so number of students are less so fest are not energetic as like in iits and nits.we have miraki and samagntha as fest, for clubs and other programes are availble from 2nd yr only sports and other co curicclum activity are pretty good here
Hostel Facilities
we have total 3 hostels aswatha and ashoka and jasmine annexure for boys and jasmine for girls in aswatha and ashoka we wont get water from 12 to 4 pm everyday even in weekand for jasmine annxeure and jasmine have 24x7.but for aswatha and ashoka only has night canteen from 8pm to 2 am campus gate will be closed at 10pm and hostel gates should be closed at 12am for your parents stay college provides guest rooms for very less amounts
Admission
as lomg as this Indian Institute of Information Technology, a central government college it has its own tag value. id card of this college has great value, moreover i prefered this college cuz i loved to become a mechanical engineer, where i will get a greate opportunity to shine and secure high placements
Faculty
as usuall girls are less in engineering colleges, college is more focused on academics. there are total 2 exams per semester mid and end sem moreoever there are many assignments and quizes, facultuies are highly qualified and teaches well and doubt clearing section and tutorial section are pretty good labs and liberary are well maintained
