Should I prefer IEM Kolkata IT or Heritage institute technology ECE?

IEM Kolkata IT will be comparably better. Although IEM has pretty strict rules in place, it offers better opportunities in terms of academics and placements. A nutral review of educational system in modern times

Fees and Financial Aid:

I completed b.tech from institute of engineering and management kolkata. The course fee was 100000 per year. I didnt get any schollarship. Per semester it was 50000. My tution fees was 800 per month. When I studied diploma my tution fees was 600 per month. After that when i started b.tech my tution fees was increased and turned 800 to 1000.

IEM SALTLAKE REVIEW FOR NEWCOMERS

When I took admission it took nearly about 120000 for admission which includes 95000 of 1st semester fees. 95000 is the semester fee for out batch and it readily increases year after year. It also provides various scholarships for economically weaker students along with they also accept SVCM scholarship or any other government scholarship. But at they end of the day this fees is worthful according to the placement!!

Tuition fees is nearly 705 lakhs for 4 years, 1,10 Lakhs during admission and 85k per semestet from the second semesters. Kanyashree scholarship is available for girls, loans can also be taken if students cannot afford the fees

My experience after one year in college

Our college fee structure is 85k per semester which amounts to a total of 705k for full course of B.Tech which is a bit more expensive compared to other colleges and universities of our city, though the price we offer does not seem to be wasted and we are given it's worth in a decent way .

AN YEAR IN IEM

The fee during this whole is a lot more as compared to other Universities and Colleges of our city, and it should be reduced accordingly But I would say we don't feel TOO MUCH that our money is being wasted rather everything is offered to us as a student, but they can definitely do better in this price. Scholarships are available in our colleges like Swami Vivekanand Scholarship,etc. Looking towards internship

IEM college review.

Campus employment is not that good , also scholarships is difficult to get. Compulsory charges get upto 3.2L per sem which is justified considering the location the college is. Scholarships should have been an option.

IEM-A place to excel

Tfw candidates only have to pay 60k in 4yrs and the regular course fees is also affordable provided it is a private cllg and the course very much in demand. The students can avail svmcm scholarship and the alumini also have a fund to offer fees for very backward students

Btech from IEM : should you consider or not

Campus is small , less facilities for sports and syllabus of univeristy needs to be updated as per current market trends.

There is scholarship of fee waiver for economic weakes students , even my friend availed the same, fees has been increased substantially since I moved out. It would cost close to 10-12 lakhs including food hostel and all for btech course. Various companies comes to campus but primarily they are IT oriented and very few are core companies.
