In MBA 1st semester, there are 3 sections: 100×3 and for every subject there are 2 teachers. The professors are very humble and helpful, mainly Saugata sir, who teaches the portfolio management subject, Dr. Kaushik Ganguly: the best cheerful marketing processor, Arka Mukhopadhyay: the placement coordinator. In IEM 75% attendance is mandatory and it is captured through biometric. If the attendance is too low, you'll get debarred from the exam as well! There are 3 exams in each semester: 2 mid terms and an end semester exam. Questions mainly come from the syllabus which are being taught in the class. The guard in the exams are very strict, so don't expect much from hall collection. From the 3rd semester you'll start getting placement drills like GD sessions, interview sessions from the professors.

Exams are really difficult to score ... Papers are set by IIT IIM alumnis .... we have semester exams of 100 marks... Faculties are very approachable and helping... Some of my favourite faculty members are Karumayee mam , MNC sir, AYC sir, Abir sir... Student to faculty ratio stands around 35:1 on an average day

There are faculty members for every subject in abundance. A few faculties are really polite and kind and deal with students in a perfect way. On the other hand there are a few faculties that are slightly rude but then that is their way of teaching students. Overall faculties are really helpful when it comes to students needing guidance and help.

Students relation with the faculty members are very good. Faculties are approachable...they are always ready to help us. All the faculties are kind and helpful.. But to be C programming faculties are the best. They are few faculties whom I don't because of their too much strict behaviour towards students. There are basically 2 mid semester and one final semester.. The papers are easy even the labs are also easy... They generally give us question from the book's exercise that they gave us.

The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1-30. It's not so much good. But most of the faculty is free-minded they tried to solve our problems. Some of our faculty are good. They tried to solve our problem. They provide a Lab environment. Some of our faculty are not so good. They are not listening to our problems. In a semester there is a main final exam and there are two internal exams. Exams are not so difficult the questions are from the class notes.

The student teacher ratio in this college is very good. In every department for each subject there is minimum four teachers. My favourite teacher's name is Doyal sorkar. She is very helpful towards the students.

IEM Kolkata faculties are good. The professors of the institute are well-experienced and cooperative. You can get their help in any doubt you have. The faculty base of IEM includes notable personalities like Prof. Kamakhya Prasad Ghatak. He is quite popular among students.
Compared to other private engineering institutes in West Bengal, IEM Kolkata has a better faculty base.
