- Discipline curriculum and project and practical oriented classes
- Placement support and good infra.Good tech fest and cultural fest. And organise various events like marathon and also has classes for placement preperation.
Dislikes
- Campus is small , less facilities for sports and syllabus of univeristy needs to be updated as per current market trends.
Course Curriculum Overview
Current market conditions wants ECE students to be skilled with chip fabrication VLSI design and IOT but the syllabus is kind of old though things are changing and people opt for MTech to learn more and get placed in better companies. And the door to IT companies are open anyways.
Placement Experience
Its good comparing to other tire 2/3 colleges. I was placed in an IT company with 6.25 lakh package and all my batchmate secured placement as developer or analyst. Highest packages were from big companies like adobe, amazon, lexmark, oracle, delloite. 90% placement record. I have worked in the company I was placed then moved on for MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is scholarship of fee waiver for economic weakes students , even my friend availed the same, fees has been increased substantially since I moved out. It would cost close to 10-12 lakhs including food hostel and all for btech course. Various companies comes to campus but primarily they are IT oriented and very few are core companies.
Campus Life
Innovacion is the annual tech fest where various events happen like robo war and hell in the cell. Cultural fest IEMPACT is also organized which is a very fun event with lots of competition. Books are provided by library and it has various books of curriculum. We have lab and smart class running. Sports is the part where this college lacks as the campus doesn't have vast area under it but it has basketball court badminton court cricket turf. E Cell and innovation cell runs and doing amazing work.
Admission
Admission was through WBJEE and after getting score and rank we filled the choice of college and after counselling process seat was alloted on merit basis. Do check wbjee website. Yes reservation as per govt of India rules and also there is domicile bases state reservation exist. There are 8 sems and in every sem there are 2 mid sems. Admission process is at par with other colleges though I would like if everything is made online.
Faculty
Faculty are renowned and have ample qualification , lab assistant and incharge are good too. Faculty to student ratio would be 30:1. Faculty follows the prescribed book and try to explain topics to student. Teacher are quite approachable and literally helps in everything.
