Eligibility Criteria
- The final examination of 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi) or Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized board/university or its equivalent examination.
- NIOS Board and Open Schools recognized by JEE.
- Students who have appeared for their Std.XII finals and awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate by the notified date.
- A pass in any stream with minimum overall aggregate of 75% in the qualifying Examination mentioned above.
- In case, applicants belong to SC/ST community or hail from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, 10% relaxation is provided (i.e.,) 65% minimum aggregate as per the condition, in the qualifying examination mentioned above
- Valid CLAT / LSAT Score is mandatory for admission.

Likes
- The moot court society and the placement cell has seen an improvement from when I joined. There are better placement opportunities and a lot of moot courts that encourage us to participate. The debate society is also very active.
- The college has a good infrastructure. All law classrooms are air conditioned. All basic amenities are also available within the campus like shops, salons, etc.
Dislikes
- Engagement in college life and fests could be better. Engineering students have a much better social life and more activities. However comparatively fests and college social life could be better.
- There exists very good and approachable faculties but at the same time there comes up a shortage of faculties which is often filled up by research scholars who are not well versed with the subjects and creates a lack in the teaching quality.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The yearly fees for us is 1,62,000. However there was an additional caution fee of 2000 to be paid in the first year. This would however be refunded later on. However scholarship fee reductions are made available to certain students. Management quota also exists as per my knowledge at a higher amount of fees.
Likes
- The best features of my college is the educational structure
- The advanced amenities like several food stalls,gym, saloon etc.,.
Dislikes
- The college demands fees for everything including the smallest function
- Very strict rules and unequal treatment between girls and boys
Fees and Financial Aid:
I joined with initial scholarship of 75% hence my semester wise fees was Rs.1,15,000. Then the fees increased to ?1,65,000 Sem wise. Apart from that my bus fees was ?9000 on a quarterly basis. The college demands fees for each course re registration amounting up to ?6000. The hostel fees for the ones opting was ?88000 on a quarterly basis.
Likes
- Theirs no discrimination between boys and girls that’s one of the best things I love about the college
- Various clubs provided to improve your skills
Dislikes
- Hostel rules are little too much as hostellers need to go through certain permissions to go out
Fees and Financial Aid:
It's a five year course and each year 2 lakh is the fees and everyone is selected by conducting an interview with certain proffesors checking your skills and financial support could be taken from the bank as loan
Likes
- The campus life is good, and vibrant. The events are diverse and good. Vibrance and technoVIT are the best ones.
- The facilities are good. We have access to essentials inside the college.
Dislikes
- Some faculties are good and some are bad.
- The hot climate of chennai makes it unbearable at times.
Fees and Financial Aid:
I am not sure of the availability of scholarships, financial assistance, or campus employment opportunities. But, the fee structure is 198000 currently for one year and if hosteller, the fees will vary according to the room type. Check vit hostel fees page.

- Campus life at VIT is so much good with many facilities
- Curriculum is very strong with more contemporary topics
Dislikes
- May be the class timings and other bus facilities
- Bus facilities for law students won't be that good
Fees and Financial Aid:
Tuition fee for the 1st year would be of one lakh sixty four thousand whereas two thousand is refundable after the graduation so from the second year onwards we have to pay one lakh sicty two thousand rupees only

- I liked the class with ac in admin block. The infrastructure is really good
- The faculties are really genuine and polite and they handle the classes well
Dislikes
- I hated the hostel because the girls hostel had many strict rules compared to boys’s hostel.
Fees and Financial Aid:
I'm not sure about the scholarships in this college as I'm not a scholly. And the fee is good which is 1,62,000 for a academic year and they won't get exam fee and all like other colleges they are included in the academic fee. The students should make a caution deposit of 15,000 which will refunded to the student account once they graduate.
Likes
- The faculties. The faculties here are very friendly and can be contacted if in need.
- The food. Usually people don't like mess food but here the mess food is very nice.
Dislikes
- The policy of not allowing first year students for outing
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fee structure is pretty affordable. Though the hostel fees is little high. The college provides a lot of scholarship and campus jobs and financial assistance in collaboration with government at times
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is vast and the academics advantage is we get to select our own teachers and make time table according to our own convenience. Faculty student ratio is good and the Proctor - Proctee relationship makes it easier to approach and voice out issues and injustices if any.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The College doesn't offer any scholarships for this course even though you have topped all the entrance exams or the interview, we have a bank in our College but I guess they don't offer any student loans
