Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum includes core and optional subjects that we can choose. It also includes a requirement of 20weeks of internship over the course of 5 years which gives us practical experiences. Each Sem extends to around 3-4 months. The first 2 months they conduct CAT( Continuous Assessment Test) 1&2 and FAT(Final Assessment Test) in the final month and 4other internal components in the meantime.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college helps with internships with the High Court of Tamil Nadu, senior advocates and NGO's. Otherwise faculties help by arranging internship with their friends who are advocates. We can choose separate internship from any place where law is practiced like government offices, lawyers office, courts, NGO's etc.,.

Placement Experience

5

During the final year (5th year) the students are required to go for several internships and complete all their backlogs. Then the placement opportunity is based on a students GPA. Several popular offices like Surana and Surana are included in the package. After completion of my degree I prefer legal practice in criminal law.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

I joined with initial scholarship of 75% hence my semester wise fees was Rs.1,15,000. Then the fees increased to ?1,65,000 Sem wise. Apart from that my bus fees was ?9000 on a quarterly basis. The college demands fees for each course re registration amounting up to ?6000. The hostel fees for the ones opting was ?88000 on a quarterly basis.

Campus Life

5

The annual feat of the college are TechnoVIT and Vibrance, both extending up to 3 days. Techno VIT is a much more interacting event with several stalls events and games, whereas Vibrance is a music fest with few of the most popular singers in the country. The best part about the college is its sports and clubs. All kind of sports are encourage and trained in our college with several competing on opportunities. When it comes to clubs there are several clubs for different language groups, talent groups etc., and all host a variety of events

Admission

For Law we have to write the national level entrance exam. VIT accepts both CLAT and LSAT. I chose this college due to its reputation, amenities and placement packages. I had gotten placement in several other universities like symbiosis and Jindals but I opted VIT due to its proximity.

Faculty

4

The faculties are all we versed in their respective subjects. Most of them are approachable while some remain stringent. In our college we can choose our subjects and the faculties and our faculty feedback's are taken seriously. Few teachers I like are Saiji Ma'am, Arjun Sir, Nikhil Sir, Balaji sir etc because they where very friendly and innovative. Few teachers I disliked are Sezolu, Soundara Pandian, Ramya, Saji Sivan because they are unnecessarily strict, backward thing thinking and unapproachable. Our exam structure per Sem is 60 marks for internals and 40 marks final exam. If we fail we have to re register and write the exam again for ?6000.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course has a concrete curriculum that has been structured through the aid of prominent books and concept on the subject and encourages students to cover the curriculum by refering to books and court judgements at its full length to understand the whole concept. The curriculum could be improved by teaching the current administrative side to body of laws. For eg : the shift of courts to digital side and to have the overall idea of it and also the whole process that takes place behind the scenes in each department upon filing of a case. The frequency of exams is exact and is conducted in a structured manner, which has been put out through the academic calender which gives timeline for students to prepare.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Law is my passion and aims because my only aim is to provide free legal and for all people who are struggling in their day-to-day life. In Our College, there are 100 faculties and 1000 students. Faculties qualification was ML, Ph.D., etc. And They are qualified by interview to test their knowledge. Their teaching method was awesome. it was very helpful to students to get legal knowledge. For each semester we have 6 months' time to study. Normally law papers were very tough But if we focus on class we can definitely get high scores on exams because this is a professional course we can get knowledge by practice method so they conduct moot court competitions etc to develop students' legal knowledge.
