National Institute of Technology AP, located in Tadepalligudem, Andhra Pradesh, was established in 2015 and is approved by AICTE. NIT Andhra Pradesh offers BTech as its flagship course. The 2025 placement report of NIT Andhra Pradesh has not been released yet. However, NIT AP Placement 2024 is ongoing with a 73.18% placement rate achieved till now. NIT AP highest package was INR 44.1 LPA, while the lowest package was INR 3.6 LPA. The average package stood at INR 7.22 LPA. Out of 391 registered students, 250 students were successfully placed. NIT AP Admission Process 2025

For BTech admission, candidates have to take the JEE Main examination. The application process is given below:

Visit the official website of JEE Main.
Register for the online application form.
Make a note of the system-generated application number.
Create a password.
Log in again and fill out the form.
Upload scanned images of photographs and a signature.
A fee of 650 INR (325 INR for reserved categories) will be charged/ It is to be paid through Debit card, Credit card, Net banking, UPI, or Paytm.
Keep a printout of the application form for future use.

After this, the candidate should appear for the JoSAA counselling. The JoSAA Counselling has 6 rounds.

Visit josaa.nic.in and register using your JEE Main application number and password.
Select the choice of course and preference in the drop-down menu.
JoSAA conducts 6 rounds of counselling based on the JEE Main Ranks.
Accept the seat through fee payment and document submission.

The candidates who are Children of Indian Parents Residing in Gulf Countries have to appear for admission through the DASA Counselling.

Go to dasanit.org — the official DASA portal.
Register with your Email ID and Phone Number.
Fill in the application form and upload documents.
Pay a fee of USD 300.

Those who are eligible for admission have to take the GATE for MTech admission. The registration process for it is given below:

Visit the official website
Register through the link by entering the candidate’s name, email ID, and mobile number.
After the form is submitted, an enrolment ID will be sent to the candidate’s mobile number.
Fill out the application form.
A fee of INR 1,500 (INR 750 for women and reserved categories) will be charged. It is to be paid online.
Download the form and keep a printout for future reference.

The campus of NIT AP is well connected by road through Rajamahendravaram - Eluru (NH 216A) highway, by rail through Howrah-Chennai main line, and by air through Rajahmundry Airport, respectively. The 176-acre campus is situated in Tadepalligudem, a town in Andhra Pradesh's West Godavari district.

Student view on course curriculum

I chose EEE course since it is preferred by many of the students due to its advantages in government sector as well as in private sector . The EEE curriculum in our college is good and updated it has other elective subjects also for 2nd year and 3rd year students ,and also it covers all the required subjects for the electrical industry. and also some subjects in our 1st year curriculum are not necessary ,they must be removed ex:chemistry and some of the lab subjects related to electrical engineering must be added . exams are conducted regularly and exams are moderate to difficult.

as we are first year in this national instuit of technology and just we have complete our first semister till now no companies are offered us for intrenship project like elestrical whicle an transformer

for first sem i have paid 40,000 for hostel fee and for second sem i have paid 29,000 for hostel fee for my category tution fee is exempted . for other categories they have to pay 65,000 tution fee for each sem . we have lot of scholarships and financial aids like SBI,NSP,RELIANCE scholarships and also student loan for students.

Student views on the faculty and exams

faculy to student ratio is decent not more not less.faculties are more reachable to students.their approach is good and unique. Dr.Kiran Teeparthi Sir EEE faculty, professor is our class faculty ,his teaching way is unique and easily understandable. i like his way of teaching because his teaching is more reachable for poor students also. Mr.Dasari Prasad sir he is good in subject but not more reachable for students, There are two minors conducted for 10 marks,one mid for 30 marks,end Semester exam for 50 marks, including lab exam for lab related subjects. minor exams are easy to score mid,sem exams are moderate to difficult to write .70% students clear the exams , remaining students, are not able to clear because of lack of practice . course curriculum is relavant .

24 hous lights are avalible at any time you can rome in collage GYM will close at 8:00pm and it will open at 5:30am ,hostal will open 24 hour sport complx and cricket ground,outside the campus no area is good to rome

Iam not comfortable here with the laboratories because there is no better equipments to do the project and there is no freedom for their own access to use those equipments without helping of faculty .
I disliked the sports and gym facilities in this college .there are more people in the college but there are less courts in every sport.we need to wait lot of to play.the gym is also too small.

Admission:

Rather than this college I also applied for other colleges nit's in the counseling I got this college because of my rank.i also choose this college because it has good placement percentage and average package.and one more reason is I am a native of Andhra Pradesh so this college will be some near also and the food will be good. I also applied for amrita and nit Calicut before hese I didn't got seat in nit Calicut but I got seat in amrita and nit ap in both i thought nit ap is good choice so icame here. the admission process is common for all nit colleges .we came here through jossa counseling and csab counseling.we can join this college by writing jee mains exam.

Likes

Library is facilitated to students with air conditioning and it will be open till 12. Am
Mess serves good healthy food. the sports facilities are good
Hostel facilities are very clean,college environment is good and comfortable

Dislikes

Weather in the area is hot and uv index is 9/10

Admission:

The only way to get admission into nit andhrapradesh is through jee mains examination. Cut off percentile Is 95. It is youngest nit in India. Infrastructure in nit ap is less compared to other nits. Placements are comparable to other nits colleges

There are field trips once in a month to gain knowledge about different things

Dislikes

Regarding infrastructure buildings are good but their placement is the thing i disliked
We can't have that much sports facilities

Admission:

For admission,there is only one process i.e, through jee mains.students have to score marks in that exam inorder to get placed here.I've applied many colleges but due to my jee score i got this college and iam not regretting now

Likes

hospital,gym,sports complex,many clubs are there to facilitate the students
i like the campus because of the campus infrastructure .i enjoy interacting with different people as they belong to different states of india

Dislikes

there is language barrier for students coming from other states
the town is not well developed near our college

i didn't chose another college because i got nit ap in first round itself.as this is institute of national importance i joined the college without any second choice.the admission process is through jee mains

My college experience

Likes

The campus of our college is very large and very good and all the campus are well organised campus. Having facilities of sports and gym are also library. There is good environments between the students and teachers. All the teachers are so supportive

Dislikes

Place is not good at this College and look in a location by which is a place at far from the main city
There is a language barriers due to the IT comes under South state. So most of the students speak Telugu language so that some of the student get face problems while conversation with them.

Admission:

According to my rank. This college is best for me because this college has best campus and sports facilities also and the location why it is not so bad, but it has good location because railway station is not too far from here. We can get the railway station near 3 km only

there is no permanent director for nit andhra pradesh
minimum sports facilities and equipment and no indoor stadium for all sports

I also applied for vitap amaravati and iiit sricity also , in those I got cse core and ai ds respectively. But as vitap is a university, I prefer government institutes , and I cancelled iiit sricity because of high fees. This college is better than university as per the value in society

Can i get management seat in nit andhra pradesh without jee mains?

No, without taking JEE Main, you are not eligible for a management quota seat at NIT Andhra Pradesh. If you are interested in B.Tech at NIT Andhra Pradesh, you must appear for JEE Main and participate in the official counseling process. Private colleges may offer management quota seats, but NITs do not.

NIT Andhra Pradesh's B.Tech admissions are entirely entrance-based, and seat distribution is determined by the centralised counselling procedure (JoSAA/CSAB). No undergraduate programme at NIT Andhra Pradesh or any other NIT in India offers direct admission or a management quota.

NIT Andhra Pradesh accepts admissions for B.Tech. CSE or ECE Branch on the basis of JEE Mains scores. The JEE Mains qualified candidates will have to appear for JoSAA Counselling round for final admission to the course.

First, register yourself by filling in the details. Then an enrolment ID will be sent to your mobile number. Pay the application fee and takeout the print of the application form.

Placement Percentage- 83.5%
Average package- INR 8.13 lacs per annum
Highest package- INR 47.5 lacs per annum

B.Tech. EEE and CSE specialisations have recorded 100% of placements. While Mechanical, and MME has recorded above 90% placements.
