NIT AP Admission Process 2025

For BTech admission, candidates have to take the JEE Main examination. The application process is given below:

Visit the official website of JEE Main.
Register for the online application form.
Make a note of the system-generated application number.
Create a password.
Log in again and fill out the form.
Upload scanned images of photographs and a signature.
A fee of 650 INR (325 INR for reserved categories) will be charged/ It is to be paid through Debit card, Credit card, Net banking, UPI, or Paytm.
Keep a printout of the application form for future use.

After this, the candidate should appear for the JoSAA counselling. The JoSAA Counselling has 6 rounds.

Visit josaa.nic.in and register using your JEE Main application number and password.
Select the choice of course and preference in the drop-down menu.
JoSAA conducts 6 rounds of counselling based on the JEE Main Ranks.
Accept the seat through fee payment and document submission.

The candidates who are Children of Indian Parents Residing in Gulf Countries have to appear for admission through the DASA Counselling.

The eligibility and selection criteria for PhD admissions at NIT AP are mentioned below-

Candidates applying to the Ph.D. program must hold a master's degree in the relevant field and discipline.

According to my rank. This college is best for me because this college has best campus and sports facilities also and the location why it is not so bad, but it has good location because railway station is not too far from here. We can get the railway station near 3 km only

I got this college through jossa counselling in 3rd round . My College infrastructure is very very well. Compared to northeast nits but I think placement is not. As good as others nits of south india .

Both are very popular institutions in India. NIT Andhra Pradesh carries a brand tag, which might prove to be beneficial further in your career. It will obviously be a better highlight in your resume than only Andhra University.

It is suggested that you opt for either NIT AP or Andhra University, whichever suits your requirements. Here’s mentioning some points that might help you select:

The branch you are getting plays an important role.
If you are getting your preferred branch at Andhra University, go for it. Because choosing a course you are not interested in, be it in NIT, will be a bad choice.
Check which location is more preferable. If you belong to Vizag then it is better to join Andhra University.
Take help from your seniors in the college as they could give you proper guidance.
Andhra University fee structure is very low compared to NIT AP, this will be helpful for economically backward students.
Both AU and NIT AP have excellent and reputed faculty members.
