College life at NIT-AP

As I am admitted in 2023, by that time there will be an R20 curriculum, which means in the first year, we have to study each and every departmental subject. But this year, the entire curriculum has changed which brought a drastic change, which means now students will study only their respective branch subjects from the first year itself.

There are many internship opportunities for students. It completely depends upon the student who particularly selects and chooses the companies. Many PSU like Bhel and NTPC will offer internships, and hardware like Mother son, isro, and drdo will be selected on a merit basis.

Yes, placements are just good, but not excellent due to ongoing recession throughout the world. Students are eligible to sit in campus interviews in 7 sem. The minimum package is around rs8,00,000. The maximum package is around rs47,00,000 including in and off campus. Last 2023 academic year placements percentage is around 85. I plan to crack the Gate exam

As I am from the OC (EWS) category, I am currently paying rs 1,30,400 per year (2 sems). There will be extra fees at the time of admission, but not from the second year. As this is a national institute, there will be no management quota. There are no tuition fees for SC, ST, or PWD candidates, but they have to pay only RS 5,800 for examination fees. Besides this, all eligible OC and bc people who have less income can claim fee remission benefits. That means there will be no fees

There are many department associations and clubs in the college. Every year two fests are conducted, one is techkriya and the other is is vulcanized fest. Rooms are very good, but not air-conditioned. There are the best facilities and trainers for each and every sport, and inter-competitions will also be held.

First year it is a four-seater room. From the second year, it is a two-seater. For the fourth year, it is one seater. Mess food is above average. About the registration process, the hostel office will notify a circular. Its cost is around rs30,000 per Sem.

I liked this college because studying at a national institute is every student's dream. It is not that much easy. Particularly, we can't compare these national institutes with other colleges as they are highly prestigious. The main reason why I have chosen this college, we (Andhra) people have 50% reserved seats in the college. Eligibility is students should have to clear their jee mains exam with the best percentile to secure their dream branch. The cut-off will be changed every year. It is around the 93 percentile to achieve a branch in the college for an Oc student. Overall admission process is very smooth and not that complex.

There are two types of faculty in our college. One is permanent faculty and the other is ad-hoc faculty. Our college is facing issues with a lack of permanent faculty. The total number of intake of students is 480 per year. The total faculty may be around 275+. There are entire 4 exams per one sem. First is minor 1(10M) second is mid exam (30m) third is again minor2(10m), and the last is the END exam(50M).
