How much scholarship does a student of dual degree from IIEST Shibpur get? Is there any merit based scholarship for the general category students?

Yes, students can avail themselves of the scholarships. The college provides some amount to the toppers of each branch based on their ranks(CGPA) under the scholarship from GAABESU(Global Alumni Association of Bengal Engineering and Science University) office. Merit-Based Scholarship is given to departmental toppers for subsequent years too. as i got the full fees wavier as an Sc candidate i have to pay 64000 ruppee yearly hostel included, 5500 registration fee, 4000 mess stablishment fees, 4000 hostel stablishment fees, 17500 mess fees. without fee wavier total fees is 104000. i ddont know the specific scholership but some are eil and birla scholership. the fees for btech hhas increased thiss year.

IIEST Shibpur a premiere engineering college of Kolkata is amazing and is amazing as the fees that our college charges is well within the ROI range. 2 lakhs annually for college and registration charges which i paid during admission were 12000.

Actually my college fees have to be paid according semester wise.for each semester ,students of general category and income more than 800000 have to pay 64000per each semester and students having income certificates will be getting fee waiver according to their income.

year wise fees is approximately 60 thousand that includes tution fees of 35k,caution fees 4k, registration fees 1k,admission fees 6k,labfees 8k, other fees 6k. some of the students get 1/3 fee wavier , some get 2/3 fee wavier and some get full fees wavier just need to pay the hoatel and mess fees

Life at IIEST, Shibpur

There is tuition fees of 68k per semester for gen/obc students having annual family income greater than 5,00,000. If the annual family income is in between 1L to 5L then a two-third fee waiver is awarded. If the annual family income is less than 1L then full fee waiver is awarded. If the student belongs to SC/ST category then full fee waiver is awarded regardless of the annual family income. After the tuition fee comes the hostel fees which is the same for every student who opts for it. Hostel fees is 4000 rupees per semester. There is mess fees of 29000 per semester (1500 is caution money which will be refunded) That's it.

IIEST ROCKS

The semester-wise fees is 71k and the fees for hostel per sem is 29500 so basically 105000 will be the total for a general category student per semester. The caution money is 4k. There are a lots of scholarships available, like Swami Dayanand Education Foundation, Swami Vivekananda Scholarship,etc.

The yearly fee structure is very simple if you belongs to general or obc category whose family income is above 5 lakh have to pay full tution fee and if you have below 1 lpa you will get full fee waiver.

Yes, IIEST Shibpur does offer scholarship opportunities to the students based on reservation category as well as financial background of the family. Thus, you can get fee waivers based on your family income or merit as well, depending on which one you apply.
