- The college campus I liked the most because there is much more peace and green environment in the whole surrounding.
- The library I like because there is a perfect atmosphere to study and a huge availability of books to read and understand the course and subject.
- There is a meditation hall which is a best place for gossiping with friends.
Dislikes
- Drainage system of the college campus is so bad.
- Hostel maintainance is very very bad.And the behaviour of the hostel caretakers are very rude.
- Food of hostel is much more bad than the behaviour of the caretaker.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course influenced me for the research opportunities in this course.The course main focus is to teach us about the learning of materials strengths, ductility, tensile force and etc.which is more important in our daily life usage of metals and materials.The timing for preperation is so less and difficulty is very high.
Internships Opportunities
TATA steel, Rahee industry,Vaisac steel, JSW this is the big companies which are mostly offered many internships with stipend.The internship program is including some web development, new material testing, materials new properties testing (like corrosion) and etc.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester students become an eligibility for campus placement. Name is the Companies which visited are TATA STEEL, Wipro Infotech, JSW, JINDAL, TCS and much more other companies.The highest package is 11 lakh per annum is given by this companies. Over 75 percent students are placed per year from this college.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have to pay the full waiver catagory fees.The year wise fees is 56000 rs. The tution fee is 5500rs. admission fee is 5500rs. And 11000rs including development fees, lab fees, library fees. For SC and ST categories they have to pay the 1/4 amount of fee as compared to the general catagory students. There are some scholarships like GAABESU,DAAD,SVMCM,NSP Scholarship which are available in Indian institute of engineering science and technology,Shibpur. And also there is some categories in the basis of the student's family income.
Campus Life
REBECCA is the biggest cultural fest in our college. And there are more departmental technical fests like Impetus, Metallum, Vaydutak and etc.There are cricket, football, batminton, volleyball, basketball and for all of this sports there are seperate grounds.There are also a huge number of clubs like Cathersis, Camerabuff, Lesthespians, Uphony, Reflexobeta and much more.
Hostel Facilities
In our hostel room there are two fans and 4 lights but 4 students in a room so that in summer we have to face some heat problems.The meal not good enough and there is no written menu and fixed menu. Registration process is not so hard but admission processes is somewhere difficult.The hostels are inside of the college campus.
Admission
I was applied for admission in GKCIET MALDA.But I saw that in IIEST there are much more green campus and high placement offers.The admission processes starts from giving the exam of JEE Mains and then attend the JOSAA councelling after thet they are attoted us a seat in this college as per our rank in JEE mains exam.Then the college conduct a document verification phase.After all of this steps a student can admitted in this college.
Faculty
Exams at iiests is in two steps like mid semester and end semester and there are 8 semesters and 16 exams in my course.The relation between faculty and students is good enough.The hostel maintainance faculty I didn't like for their less maintainance.And like the education faculty for their efforts to teaching us.
