all the teacherss and mentors are very helpful and well stablished and teach in a very good manner that students really like. they help in placement and advancing for the greater studies and research. the boys to girl ratio is 6 to 7:1

Faculty:

their is one mentor around 3 to 4 students in almost each branch and each banch have their specific teacher to teach teir subject. i like the proffesor of computer science, professional ethics physics lab. and the proffesor i dislike more is mohammad sir form mining and rana roy from the department of aerospace and applied machanic becuse of my own reason also some proffesor of electrical department. the exam are averagly difficult you get enough support from the proffesor so that you get passed with good insight about the subject if you attend enough classes. some student fail because of either they left the collage or had an medical issue. previously the carriculam was old and was little bit irrelevent but this year the carriculam changed that decreased the load of studend and also made the couse more enjoyable and relavent.

IIEST is International standard college!!

We have around 20 or more faculties for IT department and some are common for tech branches. All are scholars as M.Tech and various research papers and patents are some of the achievements of our faculties. There are four exams in a year as each semester we have a mid term exams and final term exams.

Teaching faculty here are more experienced and they can teach you in depth.will get you good internships and This college helps you more if you have interest in research field.professors of mechanical department are good and well help you in research

Almost every department consists of around 20 professors and students of around 70-80.there will be 2 main exams in each semester.one of them is mid semester and another is end semester.so totally 4 exams in every year.

i think the faculty to student ratio is 1:10 which is decent like you can consider and the faculties are friendly also which is a good think they are approachable . the examps in my department is not too easy nor too difficult . there are subjects which are a bit difficult but if u will study u will excell in that

The faculty in IIEST Shibpur are very well qualified, almost everyone are doctorate holders.They are very good to students and also very kind and understanding. Ofcourse exams are somewhat tough but it is to maintain the level of students.

The faculty to student ratio is less in our college.The faculty will approaches students very rarely. however the way of teaching is decent.I like G.P.Samantha sir,Tamala pal sir because they way of teaching is another level. some of the faculties i didn't like their way of teaching. exams: 8sems,with 8 mid terms. paper difficulty level is easy to modarate.on an average 80-90 students will fail in a year.

Life at IIEST, Shibpur

Faculty is nice. You would find many helpful professors here. Mostly they are all alumni. There our many professors who would help you in your personal as well as academic problems too. I admired my basic electrical engineering ma'am in my second semester because of her intellect. She was friendly to us and listened to all our problems and understand us. However, there were some professors who would scold you for everything and not even teach properly in the first year. Mainly physics professors. They rush with the syllabus and don't provide enough relevant material for the semester examinations. There is 30 marks mid semester exam, 50 marks end semester exam, 20 marks teacher's (internal) assessment per semester. The exams are easy if you have studied nicely and listened to the classes. CGPA is absolute so there would be no competition among friends.

Faculty to student ratio is pretty good here. Faculty is supportive. There are two exams conducted that is midsems and endsems. There is no relative marking in this college. In between professors keep taking tests.

IIEST ROCKS

The teachers are well educated and they can explain all type of doubts. Aside for the teachers, we also have a library where we can find everything we need.

Dislikes

The teachers usually cannot speak English properly. They sometimes start explaining in Bengali and then the non-Bengali students don't understand anything.

The faculty of the institute is very good. Almost of them are approachable. I like almost all the faculty here. The faculty I dislike the most is Rana Roy. He is the most dangerous teacher anyone can get in this college. There are two exams per semester, namely mid sem examination and end sem examination. The exams are mostly moderate and the course curriculum is perfect. Handful of students fail to clear the exams.
