Professors support ,Professors way of explaining things , the culture, infrastructure is the best part of the college
Air conditioned single room for every person.

Dislikes

Water facility in college , some kind of shortage is there.

Placement Experience:

7thh semester students eligibile for campus placement So many companies have came like Google , Microsoft, mercedes, Accenture etc. I don't know much about placement related information. 76% students get placed this year My plans after getting degree is doing job for 1/2 years

All About IIT JODHPUR

Likes

The college has variety of culture. Besides technical college we had nice support for Product, Finance etc
Infrastructure is top notch. We have newly built infra so there is no doubt in infra.
The faculty are supportive and well educated. They are ready to help besides curriculum and give us support.

Dislikes

Course curriculum is sometimes feels hectic and can be done in right way.
The involvement of Office people in fest and many important decisions are very bad and leads to conflicts and bad management.
Still the college is in development phase and infrastructure is not sufficient for people.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is quite good. All top companies came for placements in our college. Average package vary from 10-15 lakhs. In 6th semester we can sit for placements. 60-80% students get placed. This also depends on the season and other things.

All About IIT Jodhpur

Likes

the first thing i like is our couse curriculum, it is a little bit challenging and vast. It focuses on strong theoretical foundation with practical applications.
secondly, the campus life is dashing, engaging and full of fun. There are many clubs, societies and events which focuses on a wide range of interests buliding a strong community.
faculty members are highly qualified and they come from various research backgrounds. We can do projects and research under their guidance. They are highly supportive and approchable.

Dislikes

the placement stats of some of the last years have disappointed me, they
the campus is too far from the city so whenever we have to go to city for some work we have to give our entire day for that
the quality of food in the capus mess and canteen is descent but still can be improved a lot

Placement Experience:

Placement statistics in the last few years are not that good in my campus. From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. The average package is around 15 LPA and the highest package till now offered is around 80 LPA. This year around 65% students get placed.

Likes

College attendance policy is very best, there is no 75% criteria but, if attendance is low than 75% then you have to score atleast C grade to pass the course.
College culture, fest, clubs. If you join IIT jodhpur you are going to enjoy you 4year journey. Talking about clubs the technical clubs are excellent you will learn a lot from those clubs. Cultural clubs are also excellent.
The course that are offered by the college is again a best thing you are not bound to do only you branch course but you can opt for minor degree in any other branch.

Dislikes

College is in jodhpur Rajasthan, so in summers it going to be too hard to do any thing in day time. If you are living there I will suggest to be hydrated.
Mess food is not that much adequate. But it is eatable.
The campus is about 20 km far from the jodhpur city. So for marketing you are going to face some difficulty. Though there are bus facility but they are too much crowded.

Placement Experience:

The placement are good. You can apply for placement from your 6th semester. For my college highest package is 61 lakh as per 2023. And average is about 20 lakh per annum. For % placement of students getting placed various around different branches placement is best in CSE about 97% students are placed and for other branch you can expect 85% students are getting placed.

How good is IIT Jodhpur

Likes

The hostels provided by the college are really good when compared with other college hostels. There are air-conditioning systems installed in every room and single room is provided for each student.
The research facilities provided here are really good. Appropriate machinery, equipment and systems are provided with required permission for research purposes/
The fests that take place here are incredibly fun and enjoyable.

Dislikes

The one thing I disliked the most about this college is that there are issues regarding water in this campus. Water scarcity is not the issue in question but the purity of water is. The water coolers provided do not filter the water well.
One other thing I hated about this college was that the academics are hectic and take a toll on the wellbeing of the student as one has to grind non stop the whole semester.
The exam system is not conventional in the form of the typical "mid-sem and end-sem" format rather the exams are conducted thrice in the semester in the form of minor-1, minor-2 and majors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

A lot of the courses of the first year prepare you relevantly for the upcoming courses. Some of the courses here it IIT Jodhpur have made a lot of student relevant to the industry standards. Anybody who wants to really learn about stuff faces no hindrances. The only course curicullum error I see is the exam system with it not being in the form of the conventional way of "mid-sem and end-sem". Some of the specific aspects that influeced me to choose this branch of engineering was that electrical engineering was something I always had interest in. It also had relevance with a lot of mathematics. The frequency of exams as mentioned above must be reduced.

POC System: After JoSAA rounds a student (2nd year) will call you as a point Point Of Contact(POC) for you till the admission. He/She will guide you seemlessly through the admission proces and address any queries you have about the college.
Courses are mostly relevent as they are for our professional development like AI,ML,DSA,Communication Skills etc.. and personal development like social connect,humanties etc.
We (IITJ) have ine of the best faculties in CSE and BIO area and in other areas proffessors are also nice but the USP is we have bio proff who is under top 5 proff in asia and cse proffs like Mayank Vatsa and Richa SIngh.

Dislikes

Quality of infrastructure one of the reasons I have taken the admission but you will realise very soon that it is not as beautifu as you have seen in videos or images.
If you talk about campus life then it will totally depend on you and your friend circle. If you hve not good friends then you will not have any college life here,because as I said before nobody cares about you much (except your SG).

Placement Experience:

Student will be elegibile for Campus placements after 6 semesters and will start their job after graduation. Accenture Japan-8 offers Money Forward-1 offer Aviros-4 offer ICICI- 5 offers Mercedes-5 offers Deutsch Bank-4 offers many more...... B tech-76.32% placed CSE-94.05% AI & DS-89.13% EE-78.46% My plan after getting the degree is to earn enough money to travel the world and start a start up after that.

IIT Jodhpur-Jewel in Desert

The overall atmosphere of this institute is very good including the method of teaching, faculty is well educated and are able to adapt with the new technology.
The campus is very vast, that is of 852 acres, you'll find everything within the campus, including a grocery store, a supermarket, some cafes and you'll find every essential product within the campus itself.
The hostels here are very good as you'll be getting single occupancy and even there is a gym,a table tennis room and a tv room within the hostel and also all the rooms are equipped with ACs.

Dislikes

There are not many options available to travel to city, sometimes you even pay more to travel to city that to travelling to your homeplace.

Placement Experience:

The overall placement scenario of the college is good, despite the recession going on, the overall placement was about 77% which is above par. This year different global companies like Microsoft and Warner bros made many offers. The average placement of the institute was about 16 lpa.

IIT Jodhpur - comrehensive review

Likes

First of all , the staff and seniors here are incredibly helpfull. Seniors help us to get accustomed to college life while staff members facilitate our lives here.
The teaching methods of proffesors are high in quality and they dive in depth of every topic they cover.
The placements here are good with average package of CSE be 20.25 lakh rupees

Dislikes

The exams are very tough and we have to work very hard to do well in exams.
Getting a good CGPA is very difficult here.
The weather here is very hot and dry and can be difficult to live in

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards. Some companies which visit include Amazon, Warner Bros, Google etc. The highest package is around 67 lacs and as for computer science branch the average package is 20.25 lakhs. About 80% student get placed. I plan on taking placement through the placement cell after getting the degree.

Acadenic calendar is well planned before every semester

Placement Experience:

Placements are good enough if you are from an IT Branch it is bit harder for core branches as there are new ones. Still you can get the placements if you have good CGPA and know the basic data structures.

From 7th semester students are eligible for placements. Placements are good enough but more dependent on your branch and also the situation of vacancies in different sectors which may vary year to year.
