| Eligibility for Admission to B.Tech. Programs | |
| Admissions to B.Tech. Programs are made once a year (in July) through the all-India level Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by IITs. The procedures and other requirements for admission are specified in the JEE Information Brochure brought out every year. |

| 1. Reservation of Seats and Admission to Reserved Seats for Indian Nationals | |
| Reservation of seats for the various categories shall be in accordance with the policy of the Government of India. The admission process for the reserved seats is as stated below: | |
| (a) | SC and ST Candidates: Reserved seats are filled on the basis of JEE qualifying norms specified for them. In case these reserved seats remain vacant, other SC and ST candidates (who appeared in JEE and satisfy certain relaxed conditions) are offered admission to the Preparatory Course of one-year duration in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. On completion of the preparatory course and passing of the examination conducted by the Institute, the candidates are offered admission to the first year of B.Tech. Program against the vacant reserved seats of the year of their appearance in JEE. |

- I liked the culture of the college like how seniors interact with juniors.
- The best things about the college is hostel, you are given a single occupancy room with air conditioner.
Dislikes
- The thing I dislike the most is that the campus is around 24 km far from the main city which takes an hour to reach in the main city.
- There are only two mess in the campus with three floors each but when there is rush it take around 20 min to get the food we have to for a long time in the mess.
Fees and Financial Aid:
For the first semester fees is around 1 lakh 46 thousand . So basically around 3 lakhs per year. For the SC/ST the fees is around 50000 per semester(admission fee, lab fee, development fee are included in it). I am from general so I paid around 1 lakh 46 thousand for the semester and students from the reserved category and ews paid around 50000 per sem There are scholarships for the economic weaker section whose income is less than 1 lakh per year the whole fee of the student is rebated . Whose income is less than 4 lakh per annum 2/3 fee is rebated. And there are scholarships from the private companies as well such as Airtel, reliance,etc.

- College attendance policy is very best, there is no 75% criteria but, if attendance is low than 75% then you have to score atleast C grade to pass the course.
- College culture, fest, clubs. If you join IIT jodhpur you are going to enjoy you 4year journey. Talking about clubs the technical clubs are excellent you will learn a lot from those clubs. Cultural clubs are also excellent.
Dislikes
- College is in jodhpur Rajasthan, so in summers it going to be too hard to do any thing in day time. If you are living there I will suggest to be hydrated.
- Mess food is not that much adequate. But it is eatable.

Tution fees=100000 Hostel fees= 7000 Mess fees= 19000 Semester fees=27000 Talking about scholarship 1. For sc/St students tution fees is 0 2. For general/ obc students if your parents income is less than 1 lakhs. For you also tution fees is 0. 3. For general obc students if your parents income is between 1lac to 5lac total of 2/3 to tution fees is off for you 4. For more than 5 lakh you have to pay whole fee.
Likes
- The overall atmosphere of this institute is very good including the method of teaching, faculty is well educated and are able to adapt with the new technology.
- The campus is very vast, that is of 852 acres, you'll find everything within the campus, including a grocery store, a supermarket, some cafes and you'll find every essential product within the campus itself.
Dislikes
- There are not many options available to travel to city, sometimes you even pay more to travel to city that to travelling to your homeplace.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The overall fee that is to be paid is around 14 lakh for a general candidate whose household income is more than 5 lakh per annum, the scholarships are also provided on the basis of household income by the institute itself. There are numerous other scholarships that are also provided which include the Aditya Birla Scholarship program, the Tata Scholarship for girls, and many more. The fee hike is not so often. But overall the fee is a bit higher than usual.

- When we took admission college was under construction, not fully constructed.
- Sometimes you are unable to score good grades and feel presurised about your future.

Tuition fees almost remain the same but hostel and medical fees used to increase by roughly 10%. Yes, there were fee waivers and scholarships available for the students who were eligible. Most scholarships depend on the family income or the category/caste and state you belong to. I don't have many details to deliver as it was specific to a specific person. As per my case, I didn't avail any.

- College was situated 30 kilometres away from the main city

There was a negligible fee hike throughout the 4 years of college and the cost to study was also decent. There were scholarships like MCM and from the government also. I got placed in the IT sector from college placement only with an average package.

For SC and ST students per semester fees are 40,000 and for general and OBC students per semester fees are 1lakh and there is some fee remission there. There are institute-level scholarships, government scholarships, and state-wise scholarships available for students. Jobs on campus are for Master's and Ph.D. students, they can get stipends of around 6000 to 15000.

For the scholarship of the general and OBC category students, they require a minimum of 60% marks in 12th standard and a CPI of 6.5 In their University. The annual income from their families should not exceed INR 6 lacs. They are rewarded a free tuition fee along with INR 1000 per month for miscellaneous expenses for SC/ST students, free dining exemption from hostel rent coma and pocket allowance of INR 1000 per month is provided. For students looking to avail any such scholarship can fill the application form along with the required documents and can't submit to the coordinators office at the administration building of IIT Jodhpur.

Which is better for mechanical engineering - IIT Mandi Patna or Jodhpur?
Both IIT Mandi Patna and IIT Jodhpur are well-respected institutions for mechanical engineering. However, it ultimately depends on which one aligns better with your personal preferences and career goals.
IIT Mandi Patna has a strong focus on research in the areas of energy, materials, and manufacturing, whereas IIT Jodhpur has a wider approach to mechanical engineering and has ties with many leading companies across the globe.
Personally, I am more in favor of IIT Jodhpur. I have a few pieces of information regarding IIT Jodhpur Mechanical Engineering.
- IIT Jodhpur provides an opportunity to go for an industrial summer internship in the first year itself. Companies that recruit students for internships are Mahindra & Mahindra, TATA Motors, TVS, L&T, and others.
- IIT Jodhpur IIP or the Industrial Immersion Programme offers an insight into the industry and allows you to take projects of Industrial interest as your B. Tech. Project.
- IIT Jodhpur faculty is very much research-oriented, especially in the fields of thermal, robotics, and materials and manufacturing. This gives the students an opportunity to pursue a master's or PhD after graduation under their mentorship.
Ultimately, I can only guide you and it’s you who has to make the decision. It's best to do your own research and visit the campuses to get a feel for the culture and atmosphere of each institution. This can help you make a more informed decision about which is the best fit for you.
Which is better, CSE from MNIT Jaipur or mechanical from IIT Jodhpur?
It depends on what it is that you want as both are different subjects. It depends on your preference. According to my cousin who studied CSE at MNIT, if you want a challenging job and you are aiming for PSUs, then mechanical engineering may be good. But the placements of mechanical even in top colleges like IITs will be lower than their CSE counterparts.
- If you like corporate sector private jobs in the IT or software sector, then CSE at MNIT Jaipur is a very good option.
- Campus placements will be much easier with packages far higher than mechanical.
- This does not mean that CSE is an easy subject. It can be difficult especially if you do not have a coding background in your class 11th and 12th.
- For that, you need to put extra effort during your graduation.
