Likes
- The college has variety of culture. Besides technical college we had nice support for Product, Finance etc
- Infrastructure is top notch. We have newly built infra so there is no doubt in infra.
- The faculty are supportive and well educated. They are ready to help besides curriculum and give us support.
Dislikes
- Course curriculum is sometimes feels hectic and can be done in right way.
- The involvement of Office people in fest and many important decisions are very bad and leads to conflicts and bad management.
- Still the college is in development phase and infrastructure is not sufficient for people.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is very well structured. We have compulsory courses for all branches like DSA, IML etc that are crucial and very relevant. Exams are not that hard again it depends on Professor but majority of them were on easier side while we had 3 exams in each semester. This decrease the course content but again frequency increases.
Internships Opportunities
There are majority of companies that come to campus for internships. The roles are mainly related to Tech and web development. But there are companies for Product management, finance and Quant related roles. However some companies ban our college due to students faults.
Placement Experience
Campus placement is quite good. All top companies came for placements in our college. Average package vary from 10-15 lakhs. In 6th semester we can sit for placements. 60-80% students get placed. This also depends on the season and other things.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fees is 1 lakhs rupees per semester for general students and free for SC/ST. While all students have to pay for hostel and Mess fees that is regionable. The fees is somewhat 45000 per semester. While I don't come under any scholarship so I don't know much. But we had all kind of scholarship given by government of India.
Campus Life
Campus Life is good. The fests in the campus are moderataily good. We had a big library in the campus. The technology in classroom are top notch. Sports facilities are very good and equipments are newly built and are very good. Students organised clubs are very good and are well organised. In short we had quite good student life in IIT JODHPUR.
Hostel Facilities
We had single AC rooms for all students in our college. The hostels are newly built and they are well maintained. Mess food is above average. The food quality is average. And we had 2 mess with 2 floor one veg and other is non veg mess.
Admission
The exam we have to give is JEE mains followed by Jee Advanced. We have to qualify for both. Jee advanced is difficult and we can give 2 times only. One with 12th and then one we can give in drop year.
Faculty
The ratio is quite good. We had variety of faculties in various domains and they are well qualified. The faculty are easily approachable. We can just mail them and can meet whenever required. The interaction solely depends on students. They are ready to meet anytime and help in whatever possible way. However exception are always there.
