A Friendly Guide for You :) IEM (BCA)

Likes

The atmosphere where the college is built is very good, a nice place to enjoy your break with sweet breeze.
The Discipline that is maintained inside college campus and also no sign of ragging.

Dislikes

Spoken english of most of the faculty is not up to the mark which is really disappointing.
Students might feel a burden due to long 9-4 college hours.
Students might not like wearing uniform regularly to college.

Placement Experience:

Placements will start from 3rd Year itself. Mostly all students will be eligible to sit for the placements. Many renowed companies do visit for campus placements like SAP, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, LtiMindTree, etc. As per college 99.5% students gets placed. The average package stands at 20,000-30,000 per month. For me I dont think the numbers are good, so I would preferably go for MCA or work-integrated learning, that would boost the salary.

Review of My College

Likes

The faculties are very helpful. Many seminar and workshops are held here
We learn many more things except our main subjects which is really helpful

Dislikes

Since I joined IEM I didn't get any bad experience.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure:120000 per year. Scholarships are also given. Anyone can apply. The complete course fee is 3lac 60k for e years. IEM is the top-ranked college of West Bengal. IEM gives the much more placements than any other college.

Knowing IEM

Likes

This college has some really strict rules which one needs to abide by which ultimately helps in one's overall development.
A strict anti-ragging environment is maintained here.
The seniors are also quite cooperative, friendly and easy-going.

Dislikes

I feel the playground area could be developed a bit more and the sports necessities could also be added on to.

Placement Experience:

From the 4th semester the students become eligible for the campus placements but the preparation and grooming does get started from the first day itself. Several companies like SAP Labs, Cognizant, TCS, Accenture, Federal Bank etc come up to offer on campus placements here. This institution also ensures 100% placement and the average package for this course is 15lpa.

The college infrastructure was very good
The college has diverse students from many places
The teaching and education level was outstanding

Dislikes

It has small ground an improper badminton court
The cafeteria in college is not hygienic

For placement students become eleigtafyer the last year or the graduation year of the college as for internship it is available after 1 year. You are given job at companies like TCS , WIPRO HELINAGE etc. With an average package of 8-10 lakhs per year. 70-80% of the students are placed at such companies. As for me I will go a different path and thinking of starting my own startup.

Discipline and management of the college is perfect
Lots of facilities are provided to each and every student
Very polite behaviour of all the facilities

Dislikes

Interior area needs to be increased more
Event management in terms of entertainment should be equal to all the branches
Fees structure is high compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Placement is no doubt best among any college in West Bengal even better than big govt colleges. Best placement is awarded to this college for a reason minimum every student will ofcourse get atleast 2 to 4 offers from jobs from best companies

Campus placements are there , good companies come and hire students but we can also have a different plan to join a off campus job, thats upto us and i am personally thinking of getting off campus interviews so i can have wide options amoo a lot of companies and different salary structure

Likes

Very disciplined and strict that's good for our career
No ragging in the college,if happens they take immediate action
Campus is good rather than other colleges

Dislikes

The campus is very less , it's like there is no campus
Only in one campus their is AC facility in every class,in other campus their is AC only in hall room
The facility are good but not all the facilities

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester or 6th students will become eligible for campus placement Their is so many companies come like Wipro, Infosys,tata, and many other companies.like 10lpa per year or more than that I don't know about this.after my degree i will do job

Likes

Faculties are very helpful . They are well educated.
The campus is very beautiful. Canteen food is quite good
Placement is very good . Tcs,wipro , Deloitte are top recruiters

Dislikes

Proper drinking water facility is not available

Here the best thing is that the college offer best placement than other colleges.here almost 85% placed or rest either doing mca or mba and some are joining in family business.so the placement is best.

The faculty members are quite co-operative with the students.
The college and their faculty members are very disciplined about the student’s timings and studies.
The campus is also quite big and well-maintained.

Dislikes

The communication may be a problem to some people.
Especially during winter, very less transport is available near the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose BCA on the basis of my grades in 12th. But throughout the course, I overcame all the weak areas especially the coding and DSA part under the teacher's guidance. Inspite of have four internals in a semester, we used to have class tests very frequently.

I like the campus size of the college like its really to good and the teaching is also good the teachers are frendly and are always ready to solve the problems of the students the canteens food is good the maintenance of the college is also good the
The teacher of the college is friendly and well behaved
They like to solve our problem and like taking up challenge

Dislikes

There is no ac and everyone has to sit in the library
Since no ac you feel very hot and irritated
There is no water cooler as well in the campus

The placement is good companies like TCS DELLOITE WIPRO have come for placement they even provode internship nd give LOR the make good offer TCS take students in bulk and they are good they takr many students with them
