The UPS and DOWNS of college life

Likes

The campus has a minimalist look with proper construction using recycled products and a whole lot of books all around the college campus which can be taken home or used while in college
The overall experience of studying is good with proper and effective studying materials and good mentors making it easy for us to understand the subject
The teachers are very helpful and makes us understand every bit of the chapter and modules the assignments given are easily understandable and gives us a great knowledge about the subject

Dislikes

The classes are too small if someone is late getting in the class he has to arrange a different chair from other classroom to sit
There is no trips from college for the students
In a class that can accommodate 50 students 60 are present

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for college placements after the 6th sem. A majority of the students are given placements from our colleges depending on the percentile they get and how good they are in their studies There are 40% of people who are offered placements with an average package of 150000 My plan after college is to start my exports of leather

Professors are helpful. Discipline is compulsory.

Dislikes

Small campus. College uniform is must even you have to visit the library.

Placement Experience:

Placement is quite good. They offer numerous offers. There are few companies like Oracle, AP Moller Marsk, Adobe etc which give 15lpa+ package. Otherwise mainly the placement lies between 5-10 lpa. So many mass recruiter also comes like TCS,Infosys, Wipro etc.

The Experience of My College

Likes

The atmosphere within the college is too good.
College faculties are very friendly and always ready to help.

Dislikes

University publishes result without any prior notice.

Placement Experience:

After completing 5th semester, the students become eligible to participate in campus placements. I am planning to get a job on my own after getting the degree. As I didn't participated in the placements, I can't give accurate data about that.

In my college , placement is good. Good college
Infrastructure is good and teachers are helping

Dislikes

Not good swimming pool , not a big space

From seventh semester you are eligible to appear in placement which happen in college .. many multinational companies are visiting our campus like TCS, Wipro , cognizant .etc.placements are quite good here..all cse and it students are placed in college.and other stream also

I would like that i would get sufficient holidays and i can spend family time
I would like to say that teachers and hod is very humble and they would never disrespect any students.

Dislikes

And the second one was engineering drawing which i didnt like at all but yes these two lab subjects has more credit points in you sem

See i am telling truth , We all have known the current situation scenarios of it hub , and wjere my collge is located , the are is known as it hub of kolkata so the placement on campus is average here

Rivera Technical Fest and Technical societies gives opportunity to students to have practical Knowledge .

Dislikes

Mostly foods are Maggie you have to Eat maggie Bhaza . because Hostel foods are worst.

Placement Experience:

placement of college which institute shows is about 61 percent but reality is very harshed . many Students get placement of just 15K which is not accepted by a student who is undergraduated from B.Tech.

Insider information of Haldia Institute of technology

Campus of Haldia Institute of technology is very big and beautiful which certainly did peak my interest
Sports and engagement of students towards extracurricular activities in this college adds very cheerful aura to our college life
Library is one of the best perk of joining this college as it's library is one of the biggest in west Bengal

Dislikes

The test schedules in this college is something where faculty should pray.
The number of books in library should be increased for some common ones although there are many but still few books get out of stock
Gym equipments should be changed or atleast repaired preodically.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement form 7th semester. Almost all mass recruiter visited our college excluding TCS while few big companies also visited like PWC . Highest package for 2024 batch was 33 lpa while average being 6 -8 lpa and lowest being 4 lpa .In our college almost 70 %student were placed from 2024 batch . My plans after graduation is to get a decent job which generates decent living.

Classroom is big and also neat and clean.the quality of infrastructure is also good.college area is too long and one temple is also there.they can celebrate many occasions. Many activities are there like sports.
In Bengal college many faculties are there.many of them had good experience.i love there teaching methods and guidance also.out mentor is also very helpfull.
Bengal college library is a very nice place to read books . Here no one can distrub you . You can easily prepare for your semester examination. Different types of books are there .

Dislikes

Canteen is not clean and you don't have sufficient food there.the taste of the food is ok not so much tasty. One shop is also there and the price is very much high . don't have print out shop.if you want to print anything then you go out of college.
Hostel accomodation is ok.hostel food is bkbas . college need to improve the food quality.i am talking about only girls hostel.dont know about boys hostel.
The effectiveness of placement service is ok.many of students didn't placed among us . before tcs is coming to hire students but now a days tcs is not coming.so that is very much disappointed

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements . Cognizant, Capgemini, and many e commerce company will visit.they offered the highest package is approx 2 lakhs per annum.percentage of students getting placements is 30% .

Environment and teachers are good and they explained topics very well

Dislikes

Placement is not expected as they explained at the time of interview.
They should recruit teachers who have sound knowledge of the particular subject

Course Curriculum Overview:

We all know engineering course syllabus is very vast. So it's really take long time to prepare ourselves for semester. But semester duration is soo short only 6 month so we can't prepared ourselves in this short time.

Campus chronicles: Unveiling the real college experience

Likes

The infrastructure of the college is very good.
The faculties are very experienced and good.
The badminton court and football ground are best.

Dislikes

The laboratories are a little messed up.
The average package is good but a little low
It has a dump yard inside the campus so foul smell comes all the time

Placement Experience:

For campus placement students are eligible from 4th year and the companies visited here are:- tcs,Wipro,Amazon,ibm etc. the highest package is 14 lpa and the average package is around 3 lpa . There is around 90% placement rate.
