- The campus is vast and beautiful, with the majority of it covered in greenery. There are numerous clubs and societies, as well as a large field that offers a variety of sports facilities. The education in this university is very much affordable.
- There are many experienced and renowned professors in almost every department, making it a valuable learning opportunity for us. Regular classes are conducted, and the laboratories are well-equipped with air conditioning and all modern facilities.
Dislikes
- There is a shortage of funding, and the state government should allocate more funds to this esteemed institute.
- Students can sometimes get distracted by the daily political campaigning on campus. While it's not necessarily a bad thing, it can be disruptive for some individuals.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The annual fees for the entire session amount to 2160 Rupees, which is paid at the time of admission. This fee covers all expenses, including tuition fees, caution deposit, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, and lab fees. There are fee waiver facilities available for financially disadvantaged students, with options for either a full or partial waiver of tuition fees. Various state and central government scholarships, as well as private scholarships, are available. Some state government scholarships include SVMCM, Aikyashree for minority students, K3 for female students, and Oasis for OBC students. Central government scholarships like DST Inspire and NSP are also offered. In addition to these, the institute provides stipends and fellowships to deserving students in need. The university also offers financial aid to extremely needy students, which is mainly managed by the Students' Union.

Good part is a good university with very low fee per sem but no compromise with academics.per sem fee is 150 INR.Top class professors with years of experience, excellent teaching skills.the labs are well instrumented

- Professors are really helpful. They take time to understand the topic. If you don't get it they repeatedly try to understand you.
- They are conscious about practicals and all.
Dislikes
- They don't take practical exam but they took viva for practical.
- For 2nd semester there has no practical paper.
Fees and Financial Aid:
For admission in m.sc in life science and biotechnology, i paid 2160 as admission fee and then i paid 150 for 2 times as exam fee. There's no other amount to pay. And same for 2md year also. It's applicable for all castes! And if you have a good score in graduation you'll get swami vivekananda scholarship which gives you 30000 per annum and the university also gave a scholarship for economically weaker section!

- Beautiful Campus , huge playground and a great library .
- Friendly and productive atmosphere. Cultural environment with at least 3 week-long events each year.( sanskriti)
Dislikes
- littering done by students . Maintenance is subpar
- political party and unions may bug students at times

2 years of the course had costed us 4000INR approx . Extremely affordable and also underprivileged students can apply for a fee-waiver and they will be reimbursed. No other charges or donations than the base fees.

In our time we had to pay only 4.5K (approx) in 2 years. In our time there was no fee hike policy. One can get any kind of scholarship like Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Student Scholarships etc. Students can get internship offers from reputated pharma companies like Dr. reddy's as well as our professors helping us to manage internships and final year projects.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The WB govt offers Swami Vivekananda Merit cum means Scholarship(SVMCM) for only freshers who are residents of WB. It's about Rs 30,000 per year for PG students and Rs 20,000 per year for UG. Also, one needs to renew the scholarship each year.

You can have several scholarship schemes under the WB govt like the freeship scheme, which will ensure you don't have to pay a single penny during your stay. Also there is Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM) which will grant you Rs 30k per year till the completion of your course here.
