- The labs stole my heart i was always amazed of the phyics lab and chem lab and after ding some experiments i was very happy
- Infrastructure is best as we have organised campus with food eateries and canteens .
Dislikes
- Getting no leaves for preparation between exams is the worst thing happening here
- The teaching is very bad by some of the research oriented professors.

Placement Experience:
At IITs students are free to find placements on their own and if not then durng the final year, companies like L&T, Pum Lloyd, Tata Motors, and Mahindra Auto among others come and take students in numbers. Students plaement percntage is 100% an some students even have dual offers and hence students here are spolit for choies as placements are thsi good. Avrage for Mechanical students is aroud 20lakhs.

- Great infrastructure, and one of the best peer you will find in the nation across all colleges. The placements and internships opportunities are great and can make a good career by opting this college.
- Academic is too good. You have to strive all times for excellence. Research facilities and faculties are one the best you will find.

- Academic load is too great. Everything revolves around your CGPA.
- The management is not too cooperative. Depression and anxiety are common among folks.
Placement Experience:
There is an internship at the end of 3rd yesr and from 4th year students get PPOs and get placed in various colleges. Almost every tech and other comapanies visit our college ranging from google amazon to reliance , adani industries.The Highest package of mechanical engineering ranges from 80-100 lacs and the median package is 18-19lacs. The percentage of students getting placed is about 75 percent whereas many other get to higher studies or UPSC. I am aiming for higher studies after graduation.

- The labs and all of the things we get hands on experience is really great. Like the college spends a lot on advanced cutting edge technology with a world class infrastructure which is great compared to other colleges
- Curriculum is rigorous and relevant to professional development and where so ever it lacks academically the numerous societies and clubs in the campus fill up the gap for professional and personal development.
Dislikes
- Even though faculty here is most intelligent sometimes there teaching methods may seem a little bit boring.
- Even though infrastructure is great architecture is a bit older of halls as it is the oldest IIT so sometimes it may feel way too basic architecture even though paintings and renovation happens at a regular basis.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for on campus placements in 4th year while internships are provided in 3rd year. Nearly all of the most prestigious companies(Airbus, Accenture Japan, Da Vinci Derivatives, EXL, Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Squarepoint Capital, N K Securities, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Steel, Texas Instruments, Bajaj Auto, Jaguar Land Rover etc. ) in every sector visits the college and they collectively maid over 1900+ offers. Highesy package on campus was 2.6 crpa, while some people say highest off campus was 4+crpa and on campus average package is 24lpa which can increase for branches like CS, EE, ECE, MNC. In most of the branches 90%+ students get placed, in mechanical nearly 93% students got placed and for the above branched it goes to nearly 96%+ while in BArch or some lower branches the stats are a bit less for on campus like about 80% for barch and 70% for others. My plans after getting the degree is to do a job in robotics or related mechanical field.

- The campus is very big and beautiful. It is fun to explore a campus like IIT Kharagpur. There are various horror Rumours about Hijli school and Old Architecture building which are fun to explore at night
- There is no restrictions in going out of hostel. One can go and come anytime. Literally anytime!!
Dislikes
- Mess food, not only mess food, everywhere the campus the food is like yuck. There are only some canteens which give good food.
- What Profs. teach only they knows. I don't know about others but going to some classes are like waste of time for me. Because it had to read that all again from YouTube or NPTEL after coming to hall.
Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for CDC in 3rd year and eligible for placement in 4th year. The average package of mechanical engineering department is 20LPA. Around 90-95% students get placed every year(of course who are eligible for placements). Many of the students go for Tech companies and also take PPO. I am planning to go for Tech companies.

- Socialization: There are many societies and clubs that increase your personal skills like talking , ideology ,etc.
- sports facility: It so many sports and gym facilities which help in self development
Dislikes
- Campus is so big that we need to go on cycles to reach on time.
- room are on so high floors and no lift ,so we need climb the stairs all the way up
Placement Experience:
It has good placement opportunities as it is one of prestiguos college in india ,Its mostly famous and many companies arrive for placements.There is also so big alumni network ,from which we can also get opportunities

- Everything I liked, it was good and courses are easy and professors are nice
- Mates are very nice and helpful, college has apps that helps us study

- Weather is too humid for my liking, it becomes too hot sometimes
- Placements are tough to get, they choose only cs people

3rd semester starting internship for BTech Students and 5th semester starting for Dual degree students A lot of companies come, see the brochure of you want Highest package is 2 cr 34% get placed I want to get placed somewhere in a city setting

- The overall peer group you get in IITs is just next level compared to other colleges. If you want to learn any new thing, you can get a senior or a batchmate who would be already good at it.
- The societies in IIT Kharagpur are ample in number and very well maintained. You can join join any society that interests you and then they'll help you go deeper.
Dislikes
- The hostels are pretty old. The rooms are pretty small to live in and study. The common washrooms are not that good and sometimes they smell really badly.
- As the peer group is pretty nice, you need to study pretty hard to maintain your grades and to get a good cgpa. Some professors teach things well but some don't. It becomes tough at times to comprehend things taught in the classroom.
Placement Experience:
The general placements of IITs is comparitively way better than other government and private colleges. Many companies come to recruit students. Even top companies such as Goldman Sachs, Apple come to IIT campuses. The placement takes place in two phases. The first phase starts around November - December and ends around early February. The second phase takes place during the summers. The average package of my branch i.e. Mechanical Engineering was 18 lakhs whereas the median package was 21 lakhs.

- Big campus we have 2100 acres campus which give fresh air and fresh thoughts so that we can spend pleasant life
- Infrastructure is best as we have organised campus with food eateries and canteens .
Dislikes
- Hostel facility can be better as being the biggest iit we can have some advanced facilities in the campus

CDC conducts placement and internship in iit Kharagpur . All the final year students in IIT Kharagpur appear for placement, almost 70 percent people get placed in the companies , Highest package is almost 2 CR and average package is around 17 lakh , I want to work in Mech companies after my degree

Students become elligble for placements after their 7th semester for Btech and 9th semester for Dual Degree. A lot Tech, finance and consultancy companies reach campus for the placements. Highest package for this year at IIT KGP is 1 Cr per annum and average is between 15-20 lpa.
