- All the big brands and big tech giants come to the campus for great opportunity opportunity for students you can apply for placements from the fifth semester itself.
- College provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship, inspire scholarship, and fee waiver scheme.
- The faculty members are really good as they are great researchers in their respective fields.
Dislikes
- But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like nsp.
- The hostel rooms are also not good enough and lack cleanliness sometimes and have broken chairs/ tables, etc. at times.
- The academic workload can be sometimes demanding, not always but sometimes, leading to stress and pressure among students.

Placements is quite good....IIT is one the most premier engineering college in India.... placements are offered according to skill and cgpa.... seniors provide help regarding this.....many reputed companies come

- Campus is beautiful, and scenic. A lot of places to visit.
- There are lot of opportunities provided.
- There are lot of things to explore beyond academics.
Dislikes
- Mess food and quality is not that good, can be improved
- One to one interaction can be increased a bit more
- There are lot of courses and hence a lot of rush.
Placement Experience:
Placements are great in this college.
Great companies such as Google, Microsoft, JP Morgan, Accenture, Deloitte, McKinsey etc visit every year and they make huge offers. The highest package and average package are also good.

- Campus life is very good. There are many spots to roam around.
- There are many sports facilities. there is facility for each and every sport.
Dislikes
- Timings of classes is one thing which I dont like .
Placement Experience:
From 3rd year students become eligible for placements and PPOs. There are many big companies visiting our college like google, apple, mackenzie, airbus etc. In 2022 total of 1600 offers were offered to students of different streams.Almost 85 percent of students are placed/.

- Tech culture, Fests, Library and faculties
- In the library a silent environment is there where you find very peaceful to study, also a large number of books are there if you need them
- Fests are very good ,we really enjoy them .
Dislikes
- Food quality of the mess is very decent. Which I really don't like
- Rooms are also very decent .there is a need for renovation
- Things inside the campus are expensive which is disappointing
Placement Experience:
For students availing btech 4year course ,on campus intership is offered in the 3rd year while for those availing 5 year course it is in the 4th year . A large number of companies come in he campus for placements as well as for internship like Google Microsoft Amazon Morgan Stanley etc .around 90%+ students got selected in he placements till the end of the placement season

- The are great society's relevant to everyone interest.
- The faculty is great with adequate teaching experience.

- Their is no great food places in the college.
- Their is nothing outside the campus, its just a village.
- The hostels are very old and are not in the best of shape.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose this course (mechanical engineering) because it lies within my interest in study. The faculty-student ratio in the mechanical engineering department here in IIT KGP is high, that is there are many students in one class.

The student of the last semester is eligible for placements. The placements are good and depend on how good you are at the skills you mention. The students getting degrees are good enough to score decent placements in all domains. The highest number goes upto 4 crores.

For Placements, students are available from the 9th semester.
There are lots of companies who visit for placement in IIT Kharagpur. Some of them are- Microsoft, Google, Amazon, EXL, Philips, etc.
The Highest Package is:- 2.6 cr per annum and the average package is:- 15 lac per annum.
85-90 percent of students get placed and the remaining students go for Higher Studies and Research.
I plan to join a good MNC and work for a few years with them then I want to start my Startup.

From the 6 semesters, students are eligible for placements and there many many companies visiting a campus every year the highest package recorded last year was 2.4 crores and the average package was 24 lakhs and the percentage of students placed is nearly 95 to 100%. My plan after getting a degree is to get a good placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I wanted to be an Engineer that is why I decided to do Engineering in Mechanics which is 4-year Undergraduate course
The first 2 semesters are easy but it requires hard work to cope up with the remaining Semesters.
The teachers here are really brilliant and are ex -Researchers and Scientists with high Experience.
Exams are conducted 2 times a year which are semester-wise.

The course curriculum includes 8 Semesters of 6 months each and is to be completed in 4 years.
I chose the Mechanical Engineering course as I always loved Machines and wanted to Invent one.
I am following my passion in my this premier Institute IITKGP.
The Student and faculty ratio is about 1 teacher for 40 Students.
The Professors are brilliant and have years of teaching experience.
