Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because of the good placement opportunities and good peers being present at IIT Kharagpur. The faculty-to-student ratio is good and is around 14:1. The teachers are quite qualified and passing the semesters is fairly difficult.

Internships Opportunities

Internships in all domains including consulting, product development, software, and all else are available and we can work on a variety of Machine learning and artificial intelligence projects under good professors.

Placement Experience

The student of the last semester is eligible for placements. The placements are good and depend on how good you are at the skills you mention. The students getting degrees are good enough to score decent placements in all domains. The highest number goes upto 4 crores.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike is not very consistent and is decided by Central Government. Scholarships and assistance are available and students can get a scholarship of upto 1 lakh rupees per semester. Apart from this, there are multiple options available for interns and stipends.

Campus Life

The campus life is awesome and the annual spring fest, Kshitiz, etc. make it really wonderful. The central library hosts all kinds of journals and books needed by students. Social groups and societies of all kinds are available.

Hostel Facilities

The rooms are not too good and the registration process is simple. The campus is too large for anyone to seek accommodation outside the campus. The mess is not too good but saves the day. The campus is located in a remote region.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

I took the JEE Mains examination and then the JEE Advanced examination. This is a really tedious task but is fairly simple. All you need to do is study and score in the exam. All 12th-passed students are eligible.

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

Clg Review

Since I was interested in getting into an IIT from class 11, and IIT KGP was the only college that gave the best branch to college ratio among all other IITs that I was eligible for based off my rank. The admission process for my college for B.TECH involves JOSAA, a counselling system for all government engineering colleges in India where the eligibility criteria is based off JEE ADVANCED rank. Since you can only select one college through JOSAA, the only one i selected was this as this was the only one I was alotted based off my rank. The cutoff for my college is around 12000 for General Male and 20000 for General Female. This increases for other categories like SC ST OBC etc....Read More
