Inside and Out of IIT Kharagpur

I am Interested in Mechanical Engineering because I liked the mechanics part of Physics mostly so I took this course. The faculty and Student ratio is 1: 20. All Faculty Members are well Qualified and their teaching skills are very tricky and approachable to students. Easily a student can be familiar with this. There are two parts of exams one is Midterm and another is End term. And also there are class tests that are in between classes and also attendance is mandatory. Exams are quite easy and some courses are difficult but if you like that course you can go for that.

For Placements, students are available from the 9th semester. There are lots of companies who visit for placement in IIT Kharagpur. Some of them are- Microsoft, Google, Amazon, EXL, Philips, etc. The Highest Package is:- 2.6 cr per annum and the average package is:- 15 lac per annum. 85-90 percent of students get placed and the remaining students go for Higher Studies and Research. I plan to join a good MNC and work for a few years with them then I want to start my Startup.

Fees are a little bit high than other govt. Engineering colleges but facilities which are provided by the college that are awesome. All kinds of sports and games facilities are available and also a very beautiful campus with top-notch cleanness. There are various scholarships are available for students. Some internships depend on family income and some depend on the merit of students.

There are two major fests: Spring Fest - this is a social and cultural fest of IIT Kharagpur and also it's one of the biggest events in India. Khsitiz - this is a techno-management fest of IIT Kharagpur, this is also very much famous among students from all around India. The Central Library is one of the biggest college libraries in India and there are lots of books available for students as it's easily accessible. Classrooms are very spacious and large in number. The sports culture is very high and all students can participate in any kind of sports depending on their interests. There are lots of societies and clubs for various events and research clubs in different domains.

Mostly 3 sharing rooms are there for 1st year and 2nd year students and for Pre-final year and final year, there are single rooms. The size of the rooms is quiet good and all the basic facilities are available in the room for students. Meal quality is very much good and tasty also. There are no registration process for rooms, Rooms, or Halls allotted by College itself after taking admission.

The Admission process is very good in this college, all stuff are very polite and helpful always any kind of help admission. One improvement I will prefer is if the counseling may conduct by personal choice by a small counseling session then it will be more helpful for students.
