Likes
- All the big brands and big tech giants come to the campus for great opportunity opportunity for students you can apply for placements from the fifth semester itself.
- College provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship, inspire scholarship, and fee waiver scheme.
- The faculty members are really good as they are great researchers in their respective fields.
Dislikes
- But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like nsp.
- The hostel rooms are also not good enough and lack cleanliness sometimes and have broken chairs/ tables, etc. at times.
- The academic workload can be sometimes demanding, not always but sometimes, leading to stress and pressure among students.

- I liked the campus very much.It is so big and beautiful that I cannot even describe in words.
- I also liked the greenery of the campus.

Dislikes
- Washing machines in our hall are not in a very good condition.
- Some bathrooms does not even have a hanger.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placements after 6th semester of the course.A lot of companies like Airbus, Bosch, Ford, Rubik, Google, Apple visits here and total of 75.15 percentage of ug students got placed last year.I am planning to become a great engineer after getting the degree and later on will do a start up.

- The campus is very beautiful and it has a green environment. There are a lot of places to roam around.
- The sports facilities are very good with two football and two cricket grounds. Also there are basketball , volleyball courts, hockey ground,etc. It has a large olympics size jnan ghosh auditorium for track and field events.
- The night canteen are a boon for the night owls. It is also very helpful for students who go for nightouts.
Dislikes
- The Nalanda classroom complex is very far from hall and it is very tiresome to go there via cycles.
- The cost of common things are slightly high than normal inside the campus.
- There are firewalls in the campus wifi which prevent from accessing various website.
Placement Experience:
The students, in the 7th sem become eligible for campus placements. Major companies like Google, Microsoft, facebook, etc. visit here. The highest package provided by any company is 2.67 crores(CTC). Many students gets placed via college placements but there are students who go for off campus placements via directly applying the companies. I want to pursue higher studies after getting the degree.

- The atmosphere of the IIT campus is very refreshing, filled with greenery everywhere.
- Sports facility is awesome here. All the different sports ground is available rather it be outdoor or indoor. Campus includes 2 Cricket ground and 2 football ground and many more such facility
- Night canteen here serves a important phase of life. It is very helpful in night outs and night study sessions.
Dislikes
- The study complex is very far from the residence halls.
- There is no lift in the boys hall of residence.
- Internet facility sometimes become too bad. Firewall installed by campus blocks many of useful stuffs.
Placement Experience:
The Campus placement is good. Considering I am enrolled in best branch of one of the best college of india, the average package of my branch is nearly 40lpa which is quite good. Highest package on campus last year was 2.18 crore per year. Nearly all students who opt for placement get placed at the end of fourth year.

- Sports facilities: sports facilities like badminton, TT , basketball, cricket , footbaal , squash , hockey and many more are provided by the insitutue
- Research facilities: Labs and workshops have all the facilities available to do research
- Fests : Different kinds of fest like that of sports, cultural and tech are conducted at regular interval to keep students busy
Dislikes
- Location : IIT KGP is located in a very remote location which is difficult to reach from different places in Infia
- Mess food: Food provided is not of good quality and variety is also very less
- Hostel : Rooms of hostels are not very much maintained and many paper are cramped in it

Campus placements are very good in our college and highes placement of last year was 4Cr + . Almost 90% students get the placement and median package for all branches are 15 lpa while for my branch is 18blpa. Companies like google , Microsoft, amazon visit to induct students .Goldman Sachs and McKinsey also visit the college each year

- The campus beauty is immense. It is a very large campus and had a very green environment. It has lots of places to visit using our cycles .
- The sports facilities are like a gem for a person who likes to play sports. The two large cricket and football grounds along with the basketball and volleyball courts, hockey ground etc are amazing.
- The halls are very spacious with three people allocated in a room for freshers and double sharing or single rooms for seniors. The rooms are amazing with proper lighting and internet facilities.
Dislikes
- The distance from hall to Nalanda classroom complex is long and we have to go via our cycles, which is very tiresome.
- The routine specially for our dept in this semester. It has the least course content compared to all other branches but it has classes at 5-6 slot and also it starts at early 8 am. This makes it less likeable.
Placement Experience:
From 7th semester the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Google, Facebook come to our college for placements to pick best of the students for their companies. The highest offer was about 2.68 crores. A large amount of students get placements but Many students try to get off campus placements too, via providing the company their CVs and applying for their interviews. My plans after the degree is to startup my own company.

- The campus life at IIT kgp is vibrant with a wide range of activites and clubs that cater to different intrestes.
- The fests here are legendary. Events like Spring fest , ksitij a true celebration of culture talent celebration and diverwsity.
- The faculty members are highly knowlegeable and approcable their teaching methods are effective
Dislikes
- The course load can be overwhelming at times leaving littlew room foe extracurrricular activites or personal time.
- The dinnig options on cmapus are somewhat limited.
- Some of the admistrative processes arre slow and cumbersome.
Placement Experience:
Placements scenior is quiet good almost all the willing students get placed through collage only. Netherless collage placements takes lots of effort you need to be good at your working skills and effective enough to compite with others.

- The distance between hostel and classes is very large almost 3km

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many well known companies visit iit kharagpur for electrical engineers like bosch siemens luma etc. The average package is of 25 lpa for electrical. The highest package is of 68 lpa.
79 percent of students get placements. my plan after getting a degree is to work for some time and get my masters degree abroad.

- The place has natural beauty and the overall academic and non academic experience is awesome.
- The classrooms are quite well maintained and the environment is the best one.
- Campus has all the prerequisites required for a student to sustain staying away from home
Dislikes
- The classrooms are far from us .The distance to the classroom complex is 2.5 km a side.
- Rain is quite frequent here which might spoil some of the moments.
- It is very very far away from my native state so it takes a long to travel.
Placement Experience:
The internship also provide stepends and the college provides campus placement . Companies such as Google , Apple, Uber, etc . visit for campus placement and the placement percentage is also quite appreciated.

- the infrastructure of the campus id really good and their lab facilities are also good.
- There are a lots of opportunity for personal growth
- There are lots of clubs,societies and fests where we can grow our skills, learn about time management and more.
Dislikes
- Most disliked thing in iit kgp is its climate,here is the lot of humidity.
- the food of the mess is also disliked by almost all of the students.
- hostles are overcrowded the rooms which are desined for single person have 2 people there.
Placement Experience:
The placements in the colleges are all well and good. The college provides placement oppurtunities for both B Tech students and M Tech students. The B Tech and M Tech students both are elegible for placement in their final year, and for internship in their prefinal year. The average pakage offered is 23 to 25 lakhs.
