What Students Say

Likes

The place has natural beauty and the overall academic and non academic experience is awesome.
The classrooms are quite well maintained and the environment is the best one.
Campus has all the prerequisites required for a student to sustain staying away from home

Dislikes

The classrooms are far from us .The distance to the classroom complex is 2.5 km a side.
Rain is quite frequent here which might spoil some of the moments.
It is very very far away from my native state so it takes a long to travel.

Course Curriculum Overview

It has an evergreen hype among the students and also the employers . Also it has a vast scenario for research and machine learning .This course has a lot of problem solving and experimental verification.

Internships Opportunities

The internships are provided in all the areas and that too with good stipend amount .It gives the opportunity to do abroad internships also. The companies are Amazon ,toyota and others . There are a lot of projects which we were explained and we came to know about the stipend of lakhs received by our seniors.

Placement Experience

The internship also provide stepends and the college provides campus placement . Companies such as Google , Apple, Uber, etc . visit for campus placement and the placement percentage is also quite appreciated.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee -100000 Per sem overall fee - ~ 130000 The per sem overall fee includes the hostel along with it including the message charges There are also some other funds to be paid as student welfare fee , Gymkhana fee and all.

Campus Life

The campus is a huge one and is the largest amongst all the IIT'S. It is also beautiful and a place to travel . The scenario at night is just awesome and we can also see the sun rise which is an outstanding view .

Hostel Facilities

The room accommodation is very good . And it is regularly cleaned and taken care of by the staff members . The message is also good but the food is average only. It is the only con . All the other aspects are good.registration was easy one and I had no difficulty with it .

Hostel Fee: INR 68000 per year

Admission

I basically preferred the older IIT's only after having cleared my JEE ADVANCED EXAM .My rank offered me this as one of the best course accordingly and I preferred branch over college Name .I am happy with my decision.

The best Professor I encountered is Mr. Atul Jain .His way of teaching is amazing.He teaches us Basic Engineering Mechanics. And The marking scheme is a good balance of teachers assessment and mid sem , end sem tests including attendance

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .
