Course Curriculum Overview

My course is instrumentation engineering, which is considered as circuital branch Curriculum is very much relevant and prof do teach very well here there will be two mids, two semester, 4 class tests performed year

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

will be paying around 280000 approx on tution fee +hostel fee and on other expenses there will be no tution fee for sc ,st and also students having income less than 200000 rupees there will also be many scholarships available

Campus Life

spring fest, shaurya sports fest is conducted in IIT Kharagpur which is considered as one of the best fests in India there will be all ranges of books and journals in our central library there are many societies

Admission

I have applied for many colleges in josaa counselling based on nirf ranking I got instrumentation engineering in IIT Kharagpur i got rejection from other top colleges based on my rank admission process is based on jee advanced exam

Faculty

there will be teaching pros and 5 teaching assistants for class strength of 150 on average atul jain sir, my basic engineering mechanics prof teaches very well there will be.mid, end semester, class tests for one semester

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .
