IIT Kharagpur : A Campus where dreams Come true.

The relevance of the course is good considering the present scenario of indian colleges. Faculties update the course structure every year, add and remove subjects so as to maintain the relevance in today competitive world. Exams timings are at night and competitiveness is good considering all help each other.

Internship opportunities are provided by the college after the start of third year by the career development centre here. It arranges all sorts of requirements needed and epuip everyone to be the best of all. OffCampus internship are also available but one need to find it on his own.

The Campus placement is good. Considering I am enrolled in best branch of one of the best college of india, the average package of my branch is nearly 40lpa which is quite good. Highest package on campus last year was 2.18 crore per year. Nearly all students who opt for placement get placed at the end of fourth year.

The complete fees of the college for 4 years is nearly 12Lakhs, which includes 8 Lakhs of tuition fees and remaining is mess fees and hostel fees. For the first semester of admission, I paid 1,56,750 rupees which included the tuition fees of first semester, mess and hostel fees of the semester and other charges and caution money. The detailed description is 100000 for the tuition fees, 14500 for mess fees, 6000 of caution money, 22000 of hostel mess and 5700 of one time fees.

My Overall experience of college was very good. I am a trainee at 180DC IIT Khargapur. Sports infrastructure is amazing and outstanding with latest equipment and all sorts of grounds and fields present. Social and Culture clubs here battle neck on neck at global stage and win podium finishes. Classrooms are well equipped with latest equipment of all sorts.

Hostel facility is nice. Hostel is cleaned regularly. Rooms are spacious with triple occupancy with a attached balcony. Bathroom is common and is cleaned regularly. Three tube lights make the room bright a lot with three fans for all three. No restrictions of taking appliances with you. Food is not so good as compared with others. But, when it is compared to other iits or colleges, it is good in relative sense.

Actually, I applied only for JOSSA Counselling as I was sure of my JEE advanced result. I filled my form with IIT Kharagpur CSE as first choice which I got. The reason behind is proximity to my home, amazing SoCult culture, best placement and a large lush green campus.

Faculty here is very supportive. Ready to solve each and every doubts of every student. Faculty to student ratio is not very good here but it is manageable considering many students do proxy attendance sometimes. Faculties are approachable at email and are also available at office during office hours. The best faculty here is atul jain. He teaches mechanics for the first year. Exams sometimes be really difficult but relative marking does the job.
