Ques. What does a Dental Hygienist do and what will I learn in this course?
Ans. A dental hygienist is a licensed oral health professional who specialises in preventive oral health care. In this course, you will learn professional teeth cleaning (scaling and polishing), patient education on oral hygiene, preventive dental care techniques, and how to assist dentists in clinical procedures. The course includes both theoretical and clinical training at the Faculty of Dental Sciences, IMS, BHU.
Ques. Is there any entrance examination for admission to this course?
Ans. No entrance examination is required. Admission is based on merit in the qualifying examination (10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with 50% marks). Shortlisted candidates are called for counselling directly.
Ques. What is the age limit for admission to this course?
Ans. The minimum age is 17 years and the maximum age is 25 years at the time of admission. Age relaxation of 5 years is available for SC/ST/PwBD candidates and 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates.

Both are important roles in the dental healthcare system.
Ques. When does the next admission cycle for this course begin?
