About DC
Doranda College, established in 1962, is a co-educational college located in Ranchi, Jharkhand. In 1977, the college converted into a constituent college under the Ranchi University. The college offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various disciplines. Additionally, it also offers Diploma course in Retail Management and vocational courses like BBA, BCA, IT, TTM, and OMSP.
The college offers BA in 17 specializations and B.Com in 5-specializations at the undergraduate level. At the postgraduate level, the college offers MA in 13-specializations and M.Sc. in 5-specializations. Admission to undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses, except for MBA and B.Ed. is based on marks scored in relevant subjects in intermediate and graduation, respectively.
Doranda College is also planning to start the graduate program in Hotel Management and add on courses in Fashion Designing, Rural Development, and Computer Applications, etc. Apart from the regular and vocational courses, remedial courses designed for the students belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category. As far as the achievement of college is concerned, it is preparing a proposal to improve the skill development program under the Digital India project at the college level.

Doranda College Ranchi Admissions 2024
Admission at Doranda College, Ranchi is either merit-based or entrance-based. Candidates for the courses like BA (Pass/Honours), B.Com (Pass/Honours), BBA, BCA, B.Sc. are selected based on merit in the qualifying exam/10+2.
Candidates for the PG courses like M.Sc., M.Com, and MA are selected based on marks in graduation exams. For admission to B.Ed., candidates are selected based on a valid score in the entrance examination conducted by the Jharkhand examination board.
Whereas, candidates for the courses such as MBA, and MRM are selected based on the entrance exam, followed by merit, GD/ PI.

- The Application form is accepted through offline mode only.
- Candidates would need to download the prospectus along with the application form available on the official website of the college.

- Applicants must read the prospectus and fill up the application form correctly.

Admission:
I choose this college because of my some personal reason and also for some benifits. In many colleges from new rule they must have to learn 4 years of bsc it and then you get degree but in my college its only of 3 years like old rule and will be new rule after my batch. Here no need to cutoff even i was not fill any form of any college and then all dates gone and then i take admission in this college.

the admission process in the college is based on the 12th boards exam. The eligibility criteria for taking admission in BCA is above 55% in 12th boards. There is different criteria for different courses. The admission process is verey smooth and easy.

- Since the college is located in the main city so it is convenient for the students to reach there regularly.

- Teacher are very good but the class strength is very less.
- The online portal of the college is not so good as compared to other colleges

Forst of all you need to wait for the admission date released After that you need to feel the form from collage website.Form will charge 500 for this course After cut off released by the college you will called for document verification and admission process

No such eligibility criteria are there for admission to Doranda College till 2022 but now a student must be qualified CUET exam or the Doranda entrance test. We can find application forms, application fees, and application dates on the website of the college and even on collegedunia website. Reservations are given to SC, ST and OBC. exams are moderate and not such hard and are taken 4 times a year. Admission can be more smooth by adding some more members to the selection process.

Admission is based on merit and entrance exam. Eligibility for UG Courses: 10+2 with at least 50% marks from a recognized board. Eligibility for PG Courses: Graduation with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. Application forms can be downloaded from the college website or obtained from the college office. The application fee for UG courses is Rs. 500 for general category candidates and Rs. 400 for SC/ST candidates. The application fee for PG courses is Rs. 1000 for general category candidates and Rs. 800 for SC/ST candidates. The last date for submission of applications is usually in the month of August. The college conducts an entrance exam for admission to some of its UG courses. The entrance exam is usually held in the month of September. The cut-off for the entrance exam is released by the college after the exam is conducted.
