Firstly, the hostel fees at BHU vary from course to course. So all I can do is give you a rough estimate through the information I got from my sister who pursued B.Sc from BHU. Hostel Fees 1st semester stood: INR 2666 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th semester: INR 1290 (regular fee and hostel fee both) 3rd, 5th, and 7th: INR 3190 (regular fee and hostel fee) Mess Charges: INR 40 for a simple diet INR 60 for special INR 80 for chicken Usually, there are 2 diets a day and on Sundays, there is only one diet. But the Sunday meal is special so it is counted as a double diet. So the approximate price stands at INR 80-100 per day. If you skip the meal or go home then you can tell Mess Maharaj and you won’t be charged.

BHU LLB Course is better than most Indian Colleges. How is mechanical engineering at IIT (BHU)?

My cousin was a student at IIT BHU in Varanasi. She shared her experience as to why she thinks it’s not a good branch for Mechanical Engineering. The professors are under qualified here. They have little knowledge about their own subjects and teach only bookish concepts. The classes are boring. Students attend classes merely for attendance. This is because even if you score good marks, you might fail if your attendance is less than 75% in that particular subject. The numerical answers are not checked through the stepwise method. That is your method to solve has no value if your answer is wrong. Professors here are not well versed with the relative grading system. This affects the CGPA of many students. Placements are mediocre here. Only non core sectors like coding and analytics get placement opportunities. The salaries offered are also very low. Labs are not equipped with modern tools. The students get no practical exposure. The conclusion from her experience was that the professors in Mechanical Engineering at Varanasi IIT are bringing down the results of students terribly.

How good it is to do MBA from faculty of commerce BHU?

The minimum qualifying percentage for every paper and also viva-voce is 35%. Passing the language paper in the Part-I exam is considered mandatory. However, it will not be counted in the general aggregate of the Results. Candidates scoring 60% and above shall be declared to have passed with First Division. Candidates securing marks above 50% and below 60% be declared to have passed with Second Division. Candidates securing marks below 50% be declared to have passed with Third Division.

Classes run on daily basis with regularity
Professor pay attention to our doubts and take regular doubt session

Attendance is mandatory at 75% which can be very tiresome for people pursuing professional course
There are no AC in classrooms so its very hot in summers

My course duration is 3 years Our course isnt according to NEP 2020 So the possible improvement are made in new batches that are according to NEP2020 4 exams are held in every year(2 semester) 2 sessional exams of each semester (30 marks) And 2 semester exams of each semester(70 marks)

The BHU life. Pros and Cons?

The large faculty it's a very big college
Greenery everywhere quite cool nd nice environment

Very hot in classrooms and corridors during summer
Lots of break in between class just feels useless

As I am from the commerce field I decided to go ahead with bcom as majority of us do. And the curriculum and course is very well structured and relevant. All other things are great and the teaching method is also nice. Exam frequency is after 6 months which is very comfortable for everyone

Vibrant campus vibe, Academically Excellent

I liked the diverse crowd at our campus. Students from all over India and even from foreign countries study here providing a diverse Student strength. It helps in appreciating and understanding different cultures and also doesn't make feel one lonely
I liked the infrastructure here. The identical white and red buildings all over the campus. The amenities provided are also very well maintained here like swimming pool, sports grounds, library, etc.

I disliked the fact that as it's a government university, the admission process and fees payment can be gruelling sometimes.

I chose this course because it's linked to my interest in finance. The curriculum mostly focuses on theory aspect in my course and as most students after this opt for further studies, we don't need it to have real-world applications. The curriculum could be made more for practical knowledge rather than only focusing on the theoretical knowledge. Exams are held every 3 months and the difficulty level is not that much, so it's easily passable.

Most positive point of studying in BHU is the campus is huge that provide exposure to the freshers

The building of the commerce faculty is very old,
As the biggest residential university of india but still the student are not available to get hostel

BCom honour financial of BHU the curriculum is new with the chance of internship at the 5th semester the placement of the B.Com Honours fmm is nearly about 6 to 7 lakh but condition of sitting at the interview is when you score it to 9 CGPA in your semester exams

Review of BHU for Bcom students.

The best thing about this college is that it has the great and huge campus which is best for keeping mind fresh and fresh and calm.
The Boys to Girls ratio is around 1:1 to 1.2 :1. Means the ratio is even for both.

The infrastructure is poor quality and classroom too. Very small facility and less development.
It is worst at summer time since the building gets hot very easily and there is no cooler or any Ac.

The course is almost the same as the B.com Students and if you get the chance of B.com Hons then take it. FMM is only special for the last(3rd) year. It occurs extra fees of 25k annually. The difficult level is moderate and easy.

the library of our campus is super cool and big

since it's one of the oldest so there are many buildings which need care and reconstruction
we lack in events! there should me more events to organised

mine course is bcom honours, i chose this because i wanted to explore the commerce field more and in my campus teachers are really very good when it comes to course and course related stuffs , but there is a drawback of the campus when it comes to exams , our timing of exams are very odd ,like it always crashes with exam time of ca , cma or cs . sonce students from this field often try their hands on this it is very important to consider these dates also

Average institution !

The campus of vasanta college for women provide peaceful environment with a natural sideview of holy river Ganga.
Different departments of vasanta college for women organises various workshops for skill development and promote innovation with various co- curiculum

The management of college do not provide any clear information regarding the suitable scholarship that a student is eligible in offline mode,if asked they don't give any useful information.
The new IT lab of the vasanta college for women is not providing any facilities to students ,even their entry is not allowed.

Course - curriculum that are provided in the campus are not very relatable in my aspects. Sometimes they just feel like waste of time because they are irrelevant to specific courses that gives a extra burden to a students.

BHU is yet to release the admission notice for the Ph.D in Commerce program. The admission process generally begins in the months of April and May every year. The admission notification as well as the application portal will be released on the university’s website.

Yes, BHU offers Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Science program. You can apply for admission in this program after passing Class XII examination with at least 50% marks from a recognized board taking PCB subjects. Admission is offered based on the merit of NEET followed by counseling.

The Banaras Hindu University will release the application portal on its website. You must submit your application using the online portal. You can apply for the B.Sc Nursing program if you have passed Class XII examination with at least 50% marks from a recognized board taking PCB subjects.

Banaras Hindu University does not offer BA Honors in Sociology. Instead of this course, the university offers BA Honors in Social Sciences. Admission to the course is done on the basis of the CUET UG examination.
