SRM University Chennai Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placement is 100% in the computer science department, not all 100% are campus but are all placed for another department it is varying between 80-85% there is an average of 5lac per annum which is good I think.

The exam is scheduled after every semester, two times a year. We also have viva exams. For our help, the college also conducts some pre-exams. To say about the difficulty of the exam, they are moderate if you have studied well but very difficult if you have not studied properly the whole semester.

Placements of SRM IST are the among the best in country. From seventh semester students get eligible for placement process. More than 50 companies visits the university Amazon, Microsoft, cognizant, Bajaj, Toyota, LnT, etc. Highest package given was 42 LPA by Amazon and average package was 7 LPA. About 99% of students got placed. My plans is to continue my studies and have applied for masters.

As a 6th sem student you are eligible for internship and placement top companies visit the college to recruit amazon, TCL uber and others to our college is having 100% placements and 39+ LPA was highest and 7 to 9 LPA was on average my plan is to get a good company with decent placement.

*College is famous for placement .as in my knowledge eligibility for placement starts from the end of the 5th sem or the beginning of the 6th sem. * The highest package you can google it out. * There are a lot of opportunities for engineering students compare to commerce.

SRM has 3-4 internals including a surprise test and one sem exam. The first internal is the easiest as the portion is only the first unit same for 2nd internal as you have only 2 units. The third and the sem exams have the same portion following with lab practical exams.

The students become eligible for placements in fourth year i.e. sevent semester. Many companies visit campus starting from mass recruiters like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro etc, dream companies like Amdocs, Bank of America, Sabre and super dream companies like Barclays, ZS, tekion etc, marquee companies like Wells Fargo etc. The highest package recorded this year is 25 lpa and lowest is 3.5 lpa and the average package is about 5lpa. The profiles offered are majorly technical with some non technical ones. 85% of the students have been placed in 7th semester.

Around 500 Companies vistis the campus each year. Maximum of the IT companies visit. Some core companies also visits. Around 42 lakh per year is the highest package till now by Microsoft . All kinds of companies visits the campus.

The curriculum here is diversified and focuses on students' overall development. Exam structure same as other medical colleges 5 to 6 internals, Practicals, and university exams. The faculty is highly Educated, Experienced, and cooperative. The exam difficulty level is moderate.

I chose the course because of my interest in this line and have a good scope in the past years the student's ratio is about 7:3 about 9 girls and 21 boys in my class. The faculty qualified from the best Ph.D. holders. The examination is not so difficult it is easy to crack.
