A Freshman to Final year :A Transformative college journey .

Likes

You can improve yourself by communicating with others who does not speak your language.
Sports facilities are too good ,We have huge ground for every sport.
You get saturday and sunday off , so you can work upon other things apart from college

Dislikes

Faculty is not so good here, 1 out of 10 are really willing to teach the students ,apart from that everyone just come for the sake of coming and teaching
Hostel rooms are so dirty , literally very old rooms you get all the insects ,lizards ,rats into your room
the fees over here is too much comparative to other colleges ,and they are not doing justice to what they are taking

Placement Experience:

from 3rd year 2nd sem students are elligible to sit for placements . they are so many companies vistt for recruiting like zomato uber accenture google microsoftetc.The highest package is 64 lakhs google . They is so much of compettion inside college itself.there will be thousands of students sitiing for same role at a time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In this technology driven world, the most trendy thing is Computer Science, it fascinated me and made me interested in how these technologies we are working on daily works. The course has various different subjects like Computer Networking, Operating system, Database management system and other coding and development subjects which are really interesting to study.

Pros and cons my college

Likes

The i liked most good and qualitative delivery of knowledge
The very good infrastructure which is best among many college
The good residential facilities and highly educated faculties.

Dislikes

The poor response of student complains .
The bad food facilities in mess means mess food is worst.
Class timings are not that good management of breaks between class is noy there

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good and quality knowledge and useful content is delivered only but some of the subject i also feel baseless and which should be not there but from sem onwards one new facility is added in which we can choose either we want to have that subject or not.

Lovely professional University in detail

Likes

University is well organised everything is maintained and furnished
Teachers are good though help u in your projects
Assignment and projects are good they provide well developed assignment based on overall growth strategy

Dislikes

There is no straight solution for your problems . Aslo ur issues your responsibility
They donot accept medical certificate for leaves
The entry timing for girls are 8 pm but to roam around the university in unrestricted areas u have to take leave to walk in campus

Placement Experience:

This college provide placement average package upto 6to 8 lakhs to high package goes upto 20 lakhs . They provide PEP classes in the 3rd year and 4th year in which they teach us how to behave and sit in interviews and drives . recently one of my senior got placed off campus and package he got was of 48 lakhs . They provide so many companies like Deloitte amazon Infosys also mass companies many of the average students get placed in mass companies.

Infrastructure is of latest technology and best quality
Campus, campus size is too good and greenery and sewage treatment water harvesting everything is proper

Hotels and food are too expensive, not affordable
Hostels rules and regulations also in campus you can't sit with a boy on same bench after 6pm
Guards think that they are the ceo of this university or something

LPU : An Insight By A Post Graduate Student

Likes

The exposure is brilliant as people from different ethnic groups and cultures stay together
The management is very strict, which ensures quality education
A lot of events take place which creates a healthy learning atmosphere

Dislikes

Too much work, sometimes becomes burdensome
A lot of evaluation based tests along with assignments
This year number of assignment sometimes makes other productive work in one personal life and unmanageable

My honest journey at LPU: from classrooms to campus

Likes

LPU has a huge and clean campus with good facilities. the classrooms and laabs are modern and well-equipped. the library is big and peaceful - a grear place to study
there are also many events, clubs and activities going on throughout the year which help in learning new things and making friends. the university also encourages practical learning through projects and practical classes
Campus life is active and fun. there are students all over India and even other countries so you get to meet different kinds of people. hostels are decent and have most of the necessary facilities. the mess food is okay not the best but manageable.

Dislikes

some subjects feel more theory based and less connected to real life work, especially in the easy semester.
few teachers are really good but some just read from slides without explaining much.
some rules are very strict like fixed entry/exit timing of hostels but that is kinda good for safety purposes.

at lpu students generally becomes eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester depending on the course. for btech students, placements training (like aptitude, communication skills, and coding practice) also begins around that time to help prepare us. lpu gets a good number of companies for computer science and related branches. some well known companies have visited lpu. the placements percentage depends a lot on the students branch and personal skills. in cse its higher about 80-90 percent of eligible students get placed if they have decent academics and communication skills.

Lpu vertos are nice who maintained the college well

Likes

Infrastructure is great, a large campus of 600 acres.
There is everything inside the campus, shopping mall, banks, atm, hospital.
The best quality hostels are there. Abd even the hostel mess foods are delicious.

Dislikes

Other batches like our juniors of 1st years and our seniors have around a size of 4-6K students but our batch is 8K students in btech cse only.
Overcrowded, just like japan capital tokyo, it is overcrowded building stairs are filled at peak hours
Some of the faculty are not teaching their subjects they are master in. Some pf them are teaching pff the topic.

Placement Experience:

At the beginning of six mini students are eligible for setting into placement drives. And the most visited companies are like Wipro, Infosys and the massing companies like TCS. Highest package that they show on their advertisements is three crore, which is assumed to be like an off-campus placement, but they show that their highest package up to now is 64,00,000 and only and average packages is like 7-8lpa.

I completed BTech CSE from LPU back in 2016. You might say that LPU has changed since then, but I am still in touch with my juniors and here is my experience:

Placements: More than 550+ MNCs and startups visit the LPU campus for placement. In recent news, Yasir M., student of LPU, grabbed an offer of INR 3 crore in Germany. The highest CTC offered for the engineering programs at LPU is INR 42 LPA.
Scholarships: People might think LPU is pricey since it is a private colleges, but LPU provides scholarships to bright students with good academic records, good track record in sports, or extracurricular activities. LPU also helps students in the education loan facility.
Research: In terms of research, Stanford University has ranked almost 13 LPU faculty members amongst the top 2% of scientists in the world.
Faculty: The faculty members are from top institutes like IITs, NITs, IIMs, and top-ranked universities globally.

I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-

The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.

Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.

This is the engineering placement scenario at LPU.

Being a graduate from LPU, I found the campus life quite joyful as everyone in the university is supportive. I liked the following things about the University:

Students get success in placements based on their learning and skills provided by the University. The University trains the students to grab high-quality job offers.
LPU receives numerous companies for placements, although only a fraction of students secure high-paying offers, partly due to the large student population.
LPU's campus can accommodate its many students, with classes divided into manageable sizes for effective teaching.
