Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would rate the course curriculum as highly relevant and fairly comprehensive. The course structure at LPU is designed in a systematic manner, covering both fundamental concepts and advanced applications. Many topics are aligned with current industry requirements, which was one of the main reasons I chose this course. The inclusion of practical components, real-time case studies, and exposure to emerging technologies influenced my decision, as it gives a clear direction for both academic and career growth.

Internships Opportunities

5

Every year, students secure internships in top-tier companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Cognizant, Wipro, Capgemini, Bosch, Samsung, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, EY, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and start-up firms. Engineering students have also received opportunities with ISRO and DRDO in research-oriented roles. Fields covered range from software development, data analysis, cloud computing, electronics engineering, product design, business development, digital marketing, finance, management, and biotechnology. Many internships come with stipends, especially those with major multinational companies, while some academic research and startup roles may offer low or no stipend but provide valuable skill-building exposure. Also, exceptional performers sometimes receive Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs).

Placement Experience

4

I am in 1 semester i don't know abut in which semester student become eligible for campus placement i think from 6 or 7 they are eligible for placement. There are many companies visited like google microsoft Accenture etc....

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay 98000 per semester and 196000 per year i pay. Admission fees is not fixed there is no lab fees there if 4500 for examination fees and college has some development courses also which their facilty teaching.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is very good but crowd is too much. There are many hackathon in lpu and tech related seminar also they do in every week. Books too much in library over 24 lakh books. Projectors are used in classes. Extracurriculars are provided like playing cricket volleyball etc.... There are 350 us student organization

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities at Lovely Professional University (LPU) are generally well-organized and comfortable, designed to support students' academic and daily life needs. The rooms are available in various categories like shared, 2-seater, and single-seater, giving students flexibility based on their budget and preference. Rooms are equipped with basic amenities such as bed, study table, chair, cupboard, fan, and good ventilation. Additional facilities like RO water, laundry services, geysers in washrooms, 24/7 security, and housekeeping contribute to a comfortable living environment. High-speed Wi-Fi is provided, though connectivity may vary at times depending on the hostel block and peak hours Overall, LPU hostels provide a safe, disciplined, and resourceful environment with good facilities. Although food taste and Wi-Fi speed can improve, the convenience, security, and campus access make hostel life at LPU a practical choice for most students.

Admission

I chose this college because placement is good and campus also good. I applied to gl bajaj and abes but requirements are not met so i got rejected. Admission process is simple first give lpunest then do reporting you get admission

Faculty

4

The faculty and student ratio is very nice they treat every student very familiar. And my maths teacher is very much nice i cant say any words for him. And my python teacher is not good somewhat. But overall all are good ????

Night Life

5

The nightlife in and around Lovely Professional University (LPU) is quite balanced, offering students a safe and structured environment to relax and unwind after a busy academic day. While the campus prioritizes discipline, there are several places and activities students enjoy in the evenings. Inside the campus, many students prefer spending time at the gym, enjoying sports facilities, or relaxing at popular cafeterias like Sagar Ratna, Subway, Domino's, and Chai Sutta Bar. The library generally closes in the night, while most cafeterias and public areas wind down by late evening. Hostel timings are usually up to 10:00 PM for entry, after which students are expected to remain inside for safety and discipline. Girls' hostels typically have stricter entry timings.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
