My point of view of LPU

Likes

In my campus I like the infrastructure of education building and hostels.
Whole campus is full of greenary and full of different trees.
Girls and boys ratio is like upto 40:60.

Dislikes

This is don't like the drainage system here.
It rained very rare in the college,but if it rains water will be stay over.
In ground every time there will be a construction.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is offering Lovely professional University.But if we wanted to prepare for GATE examination they will help us with that path as well. LPU will give support what ever we want to be achieved.

Life in btech

Likes

Studying in lpu is a great choice one can develop there skills participate in different type of events every day
Facilities services in lpu is great and well experienced

Dislikes

I especially don't like winter's in lpu it is too cold because I am south Indian I feel a little bit more cold than in our States

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students become eligible for placements.my plan after my degree is to start a custom automobile garage.the highest package for students is about 64lpa and average package for students is about 8 to 14lpa

Me and My college

Likes

the college campus is very good and very large everything is availiable inside the campus and you dont have to go out to buy anything , and its very clean and very pretty
the diversity is great you will be able to meet different people of different country and experience their culture.
Their are many events going on in the college at every times in which you can join and take part and enjoy your college life.

Dislikes

The competition is huge due to admission being easy their are many people in the university and you will have a tough fight in the placements.
the attendence is necessory and you will have to maintain 75 percent and if you dont you will be debarred from the exams

Placement Experience:

You can participate in placements from your fifth semester in which you can get internship. the few companies that came are tcs , cognizant ,google , amazon, etc. The highest package that someone got this year as far as i knoow is 30 lpa and the average package is from 5-8 lpa . almost 85 percent people get placements every year as their are always bad ones in a basket of good mangoes. i plan on getting placed doing job nad gaining expirience and then doing my mba from US.

Likes

overall faculty is so good, infrastructure as well members
social interaction with batchmates and techers is so good
placement services is so good . They have LMS portal

Dislikes

LMS portal was not so good , that is not working properly
Class schedule is not so proper , it is not good
paper pattern is not so good it is lenthy

Life at Lovely Professional University

Likes

Mall facility within the campus with grocery stores and sweet shops, etc
Hospital with medical shop facility is also provided
E-rikshaw services within the campus is provided which is very reliable.

Dislikes

Campus is too big to walk all around it the whole day
Hospital usually does not have the necessary facilities
Course is mostly focused towards theory whereas it should be more practical knowledge about agriculture

After the 8th semester students that opted for placements can only sir in placements Many companies visit like John deere and other international brands visit and place bright students. Highest from our college collectively was 3Cr annually. And average from my course is 5lakhs per annum after bachelors. Students who get placed are usually very bright having CGPA over 8 My plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies persuing ABM.

Likes

I liked the structure of the university very much
Its food items are good and so hygienic for the students
Children most of them out of country and its unique nature

Dislikes

Staff members are not got they talk with manu rude manner
Its principal behaviour towards students not good and tolerable
Some classes are not got infrastructure benches are destro

Mostly when the exams are done than verious checking are done by the staff members and in exam the time limit of exam is 3 hors which is sufficient for the students to finish their exam and practical exam also happen

Genuine review of LPU

Likes

The quality of learning was great and was taught by one of the best teachers
Huge infrastructures, lpu is one of the largest universities in India
Got exposure to different people from different parts of our country

Dislikes

Hostel food was not good enough and the cleanliness was okay only
Traveling from one department to another will take ages as the distance between most is quite high
Provide more e-vehicles for commute as there is only few

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from the 3rd year for placements. And few of them like me if they don't want placements and go for higher studies they can opt that too. Min requirements is 6 Gpa for entering to placement portal. My plans are to pursue masters in germany

Parameters on which you should choose a university

Likes

Infrastructure is pretty good as it is quite a big university
Ambience is also very great there are different blocks for different courses
Diversity as there are stidents from all over the country as well as international students

Dislikes

It is very strict in terms of attendance and discipline
The passing percentage for a course is also on the higher side

What is your review of Lovely Professional University?

I completed BTech CSE from LPU back in 2016. You might say that LPU has changed since then, but I am still in touch with my juniors and here is my experience:

Placements: More than 550+ MNCs and startups visit the LPU campus for placement. In recent news, Yasir M., student of LPU, grabbed an offer of INR 3 crore in Germany. The highest CTC offered for the engineering programs at LPU is INR 42 LPA.
Scholarships: People might think LPU is pricey since it is a private colleges, but LPU provides scholarships to bright students with good academic records, good track record in sports, or extracurricular activities. LPU also helps students in the education loan facility.
Research: In terms of research, Stanford University has ranked almost 13 LPU faculty members amongst the top 2% of scientists in the world.
Faculty: The faculty members are from top institutes like IITs, NITs, IIMs, and top-ranked universities globally.

Can I get an honest review on LPU University placements in engineering?

I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-

The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.

Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.

This is the engineering placement scenario at LPU.

Being a graduate from LPU, I found the campus life quite joyful as everyone in the university is supportive. I liked the following things about the University:

Students get success in placements based on their learning and skills provided by the University. The University trains the students to grab high-quality job offers.
LPU receives numerous companies for placements, although only a fraction of students secure high-paying offers, partly due to the large student population.
LPU's campus can accommodate its many students, with classes divided into manageable sizes for effective teaching.

LPU maintains a strict anti-ragging policy and provides a secure environment with extensive CCTV surveillance.
